Glad to see all the TBotNS love going around.
I've been buying technical manuals recently, some books on Unix/Linux and Oracle. I think Towers of Midnight is on my list for this week, though.

I grabbed the first Fate Of The Jedi volume OUTCAST by Aaron Allston. What can i say, I am a sucker for post-Yuzhan Vong Star Wars EU.

It has been proven beyond all reasonable doubt that the most powerful force on Wu is a bunch of messed-up Malazans with Moranth munitions.

By which you mean "after everyone in the GFFA forgets the Vong ever existed."

That is only partly correct. I'm only 30 odd pages into OUTCAST and already the Vong have been mentioned twice. Points for the new series there.
Though I do admit that after the NJO series was over, they kind of get relegated to the "Yeah, so that happened, but we aren't gonna dwell" stack. LOL!

I forgot about the Vong mentions in Outcast. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised by how much FotJ calls back to old continuity points. I was particularly impressed by how well Omen weaved in a ton of EU references, especially given Golden's status as a newbie SW author.

Indeed. It's nice to see Denning and Allston stepping up to that particular plate.

Lois McMaster Bujold's Cryoburn arrived yesterday! Woo-hoo! Miles goodness!

Nightangel Trilogy .... good read.... though makes you wonder if the author has plans to retur to this world as there is so much more to answer.... and was really hoping that lightbringer was part of it ..... ;o(
Kingmaker Kingbreaker series by Karen Miller.... looks good from what I've read so far... just wonderin if the other the Godspeaker Trilogy and the Fishermans Children books form part of teh same ongoing tale

ordered...? really? the average 2h bookstore seems to have McCammon's entire works twice over. I swear i saw three Swan Song's alone last time i was at one.
I did like the Wolf's Hour (ww2 werewolf commando ftw!) but found the rest of his stuff is mediocre.

So Stonewielder has just arrived! I have been a bit slow to finish DoD, so I now ask your advice on whether I should read Towers of Midnight or Stonewielder next. Which should it be?
The love I bear thee can afford no better term than this: thou art a villain.

What a silly question. Stonewielder no matter what.
In other news, went out looking for Stonewielder at my local book pushers yesterday but couldn't find it.
Instead I bought Small Favors by Jim Butcher and the first omnibus in the Gaunts Ghosts series by Dan Abnett. Anything that Werthead recommends is usually worth picking up.
