The Atrocity Archives by Charlie Stross,
and Books 1 and 2 of The Celestial Empire series by Chris Roberson.

Uncertain about either but they were on sale 2nd hand so investment was minimal (and the forum saved me from purchasing a Maggie Furey trilogy) and i try to support 2nd hand book stores where i can.

I had a few coupons and incentive thingies to use up at Chapters, so i got RT/BS' THE GATHERING STORM for less than $20. To round off the purchase i picked up THE BLOOD OF ELVES, by Andrej Icannotrememberiwcz, - safe bet as i liked the first Witcher book...

and

GHOST OCEAN by SM Peters... i have to admit, i went on the strength of his first book WHITECHAPEL GODS, which i utterly enjoyed, and i was in a rush, so i didn't read the blurb til i got home... but the blurb on this book reads like every other urban fantasy young woman becomes Buffy with magic lasers story out there... i was a little annoyed... so just now i did a quick random run thru online reviews... and i cannot find a negative. Seriously, the closest i found to 'negative amounted to 'the title says ghost but there are no ghosts in the book!'...i'm sure i could dig, but seven utterly random googled reviews were glowing, so i may move it ahead of TGS.
