Oooh, I've always meant to read that, you'll have to report back on it when you are finished, Mr Monkey.
Will do. By all accounts it's a bit of a slog so it may be some time... And I have to wait for Amazon to deliver the bugger... And I'm very easily distracted...Ooh pretty lights!
If an opinion contrary to your own makes you angry, that is a sign that you are subconsciously aware of having no good reason for thinking as you do. If some one maintains that two and two are five, or that Iceland is on the equator, you feel pity rather than anger, unless you know so little of arithmetic or geography that his opinion shakes your own contrary conviction. … So whenever you find yourself getting angry about a difference of opinion, be on your guard; you will probably find, on examination, that your belief is going beyond what the evidence warrants. Just ordered the latest two books in the Dresden Files by Jim Butcher.
*sigh* soon there will be no more spectacular actionpacked detective fantasy action awesome for Apt.
Why do these books only come out once a year?! This is even worse than waiting for the Malazan Books!!!

Raw Spirit by Iain Banks - which, appropriately enough given that it's about the pleasures of Scotch Whisky, I had to retrieve from a bar yesterday where I'd left it whilst very drunk on Monday night...

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone [COLLECTOR'S EDITION], very nice edition. A lot better than British special edition (although as far as I know they printed only the first two books, then stopped).
Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (Book 1): Special Edition
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (Book 2): Special Edition
(I am planning to buy the rest of the series special editions)
