If you shop at betterworldbooks.com at all they are having a one-day 50% off sale for the bargain bin today, if you get 5 or more books. It's naturally hit or miss, but you can find plenty of good stuff if you make an effort and don't mind the misses.

I acquired Col Buchanan's STANDS A SHADOW, as preceding book FARLANDER sits in the TRP and advance buzz is decent.
Same situation for Wooding's IRON JACKAL with the other two Ketty Jay books in the TRP, hey, why stop now.

Also, for free, the first three books of Rob Thurman's 'LEANDROS' urban fantasy series.... anyone read these? I know nothing more than the back blurbs and that the series is up to seven or so and still rolling.

Just bought The Chronicles of Master Li and Number Ten Ox. Saw it recommended over at Westeros, looked it up on Amazon and decided I had to have it. It's a little ways back on the to read pile but I didn't want to forget about it......so I bought it.

I'm a huge DS9 fan and I just found out about the DS9 relaunch novels that continue the story after the show ends... pretty stoked. I bought the one about Garak written by Garak used today.There's an omnibus of the first 4 so I'm definitely going to pick that up too.

Bought Light by M. John Harrison, The Iron Dragon's Daughter by Michael Swanwick, Return to the Whorl by Gene Wolfe, each for $2 at the used book store. Also just bought Wool: Omnibus by Hugh Howey on the Kindle. Where they stand in the TRP is pretty low and possibly years away, but I just can't help myself (though I may hop on Wool a bit sooner.

Picked up the 3 volumes of Michael Moorcock's Count Brass series last night, gearing up for the massive Moorcock marathon I want to attempt next year.

Bought Bujold's Miles Errant omnibus (Borders of Infinity, Brothers in Arms, and Mirror Dance) today. It's been ages since I read the first three omnibuses (omnibi?) so this one could be tricky.

Was going to read all the way through to tCG but neither BH nor NoK has turned up by mail yet. Oh what the heck, I'll wait a couple of more days.

In the absence of Cold Days from our shores from another week, and because Forbidden Planet also didn't have The Rise of Ransom City as it's also not due till next week when I thought it was long out, I instead got ICE's Blood and Bone, a nice surprise as I'd completely missed its impending release, and The Tainted City, a sequel to The Whitefire Crossing by Courtney Schafer which I greatly enjoyed last year.
