Lol, with Hood being the god of Death, he wins either way...

Gothos' Ritual was powerful enough to stop Hood getting a foothold on Lether for hundreds of millennia. What does that tell us about the power relationship between the two?

A point I was going to make.
It tells us something, but then I wondered what would happen if Gothos and Hood both had an Omtose Phellack unleashing a piece directed at eachother at the same time and who would win, well I think the answer is probably obvious but might fall down if Jaghut have immunity to Ice or have someway of overcoming the others unleashing/ritual.
Both should die.
But then again there are too many factors and unknown rules to conclude this.

Well... Ganath's ritual up in wherever was enough to stop 4 Sky Keeps and keep the KCXX in stasis for Hood knows how long. (Though that maybe by virtue of whatever machinations the KCXX had in place.) Then again there were 3 Jaghut at the ritual[?].
The Huntress managed to trap a god/demon. Though that was with the help of Mael (I think the Ceda only contributed the illusion of unfettered power to be gained).
I don't know what I'm saying. But, I guess Gothos probably would have the 1UP on Hood with Omtose Phellack.

you might be right but hood doesn't need to fight. he only gathers the dead fighters, and occasionally sends a few back.
on the other hand, if hood was the king of the ice hold he could probably lay some serious icy smackdown

There's a fine line between genius and insanity. I have erased this line.

Hood hides in his warren most of the time, while Raest is trapped in the "Paranhouse" im gonna call it lol... Gothos would own em both
but when it comes to ice vs ice, I reckon Hood.
Anyone want to toss Pannion into the equation? He was pretty cule, in an insane way lol

It has to be Gothos, he knows stuff.
And if he found out his power wasn't enough then he'd flex some facts about this and that cos lets face it he seems to be a bit of a boring git............
" Take this! " Screamed Raest as he bunched his fist. Great arcs of wind and shards of ice rained down on Gothos on top of the embankment. Slowly hammering him down.
" What!? Noooooooooooooo! " screamed Raest as he saw Gothos lazily deflect the entire attack away with a speech on the interesting nature of water lilies on the continent of Assail and their general properties for curing ear infections.

something along those lines anyhow.

"I think i was a bad person before. Before this time. I do not try to be good now but i am not bad. Perhaps if i try harder i may get a better hand dealt next time? But surely that makes it pointless? Perhaps i am good. Just good at being pointless. But that would make me bad. Bad at having a point. Ah…. I see now. I was nothing before, I am nothing now. I am bad purely because im pointless. "

This is my first post here. I read GotM a while back, but IIRC, Raest was separated from his finnest. I recall that Paran had to stall Raest, even without his Finnest, because the new Azath house was at first too young and underdeveloped to hold Raest. Raest, when combined with his Finnest, was portrayed as unstoppable. And so I gotta believe that Raest, fully armoured and empowered by his Finnest, would take Gothos in a direct confrontation of powers.
Tactically however, I give the edge to Gothos since he exhibits more self-control.
Final comment: Gothos would need time and luck to prepare for and defeat Raest.

I've changed my mind, Galactus would own both their asses.
