Crunch time for the scousers tonight!

Lose to Besiktas and it's all over....

Predictions lads?

I'm going for lucky Liverpool to scrape it 2-1.

They've got no excuse at all not to win.

So they'll probably get a draw.

That or Gerrard scores an 80-yard piledriver in the 19th minute of injury time for the win.

I heard Rafa's using his cunning rotation policy to the extreme so that all the Besiktas players get dizzy and fall over, and then an equally dizzy Voronin or Kuyt might be able to actually hit the target for once.

Oh, Brood, you'll love this one:

What's the difference between David Blunkett and Spurs?

David Blunkett can hold on to a lead! :D

ROFL at Valencia.

Liverpool, much like Arsenal last matchday, played a pub team.

Did anyone see Binya's tackle on Brown? One of the worst I've ever seen, he deliberately set himself up to cripple the man, and the fact that he managed not to is surely about all that's keeping him from a very solid ban. Which he should get anyway.

ah, but this is very typical. Rosenborg has some great players who are subsequently sold to some semi-big or big European club. They'll play crap, end up on the bench for a few years and eventually return to Rosenborg where they'll play great again. strange but true.

Except for Jon Carew ofc, but he's I spose in another league entirely.

And Rosenborg didn't win the series this year, which was a bit of a shock to all involved, so they'll have to win Champions League in order to keep finances on the positive side. :p

And tonight was the real champions league :p Nice easy win for spurs, even if wasn't a great performance, and impressive for Bolton to get a draw away at Munich :p

I was expecting Bolton to get reamed, especially with missing eight players including Anelka, Diouf, Vaz Te and Campo. Fair play to them.

I pick Man Utd. But only because they have Sir Alex Ferguson and this year he's got his ears open (and the right players to do the job)

Chelsea are a good choice too.

Yeah, you scousers have got to try and win something. I mean, you gave up on the others so easily...:p

Im hoping both British teams progress tonight, preferably with Chelsea picking up key long term injuries to all of their players.

I don't get the bumlove for Barca. They have a wonderful team on paper but in reality I'm more scared of Madrid, Milan and Inter.

I think we (United) have the quality to win, barring injury to Rooney who we have no cover for, but I'm not predicting a definite winner at this point.

1-0 to Liverpool now. Chelsea are still drawing, they need to seize the initiative with an away goal.

Liverpool, brillant. 2-0.
That is a convincing lead. A goal next time means Inter have to score 4.
