Cotillion and Shadowthrone are bound to be visited by some terrible visitation of death, say Hood, in the near future.

They're too popular so they're either going to die or be split up because of lack of trust. Shadowthrone will sell Cotillion to the dogs, and then Cotillion will plan revenge and take Shadowthrone out just as he launches a plan to become even stronger. Perhaps a crazy theory, but we've seen some tensions between the two in the last few books. Only the odd one or two, but we know they don't trust each other as much as they used to.
