The lockouts are annoying though. You can only change your team at certain times of the comp e.g. mid-way of group stages, prior to quarters, prior to semis etc. Thats what happens when you don't pay attention to the rules!!

Now with injuries (Skrela), potential bannings (Vickery), and strategic player subs for games (e.g. Rokocoko for Sivivatu) my team will suffer this week ;)

Still a long way to go.............the Malazan Cup competition is wide open.

2 Irish front rowers? After the Georgians absolutely smashed that pack? Something dodgy about the pointscoring here...not to mention that Englishman on the fecking bench.

Edited, had an FL8 in 2RF.

Now accurate, and no Englishman.

Still both Irish frontrowers scored tries so they're in.

Will have to check our Malazan league standings at home unless someone can post the results today?

Also, has anyone actually got double points for their designated Captain and kicker? I had Howlett as Captain, but he hasn't received double points for his tries yet???

I've definately been getting double points for my captain and points from my kicker because without them i wouldn't reach my total. However, with them i go 6 points over, which could mean i'm getting points for conversions but not penalties (dan carter has 6 points for penalties, the only 6 i could really find that could account for the difference)

I wasn't sure about the double points as I am not good with numbers (I work as an accountant!)

Make sure you get your teams updated before the lockout this evening. Mighty Scotland take on Georgia!

There is still an element of luck involved because some teams are changing their players due to rotation policies and because some players have been "naughty". The long lockout periods mean you need a great crystal ball with clear reception.

With the way things are going I think Ireland will be knocked out after the first round.

Looks like you might not be the only.

I was doing some "intelligence gathering" on the other team selections and I don't think there were many changes made.

Hopefully I made some good transfers so I can improve my league standings :D

I like to work on the theory that if you have it, use it...

Of course, the only reason I found out about the trade period was when I grabbed the scores to post above. I'm starting to regret my choice to randomly select N hemisphere players.... I mean, I grabbed the RESERVE French fly half!!
Hopefully have rectified things a little better now

I know nothing about Rugby but i have joined Cold Iron as so many people joined my football one i would of been rude not to make the effort.

Im not sure who to play as my scrum quarter though..........

SEE!

Having looked at your players I concur ..... you really don't know anything about rugby and seem to have picked your team with the aid of a blindfold & pin. I follow league code myself but know enough name players to cram them into my team ..... also picked the max numbers from the top teams rather than picking from a wide selection. Oh and I'm one place above you(Shit how did that happen)
