I keep checking this thread at work to see if anyone has gotten theirs yet, so I'll know if there's a chance mine might have come in. So when someone gets it please let us know!

I'm at college but I have spring break soon so whenever I call my parents to figure out how I am getting home I always ask if the book is there yet, so far nothing.

Sometimes it can be several weeks. . . As in months. . .

Sorry. ;)

Bill replied to an email saying it could take up to 6 months for the traycases to be manufactured...

So let me get this straight, is it the cheaper versions that will take longer to come out? I hope not because that's the one I ordered, but it would be better for those who were willing to shell out more bones.

I got my copy. It's definitely a nice book, but not sure it's worth US$125. Several of the illustrations are not very good, in particular the one of the giant wagon in Dragnipur, which looks like a little kid drew it in 5 minutes. Hopefully Komarck does a better job with Deadhouse Gates.

considered their scholarly will.
He lowered his head
and with anguish he said,
"But how will we teach them to kill?"

I haven't received an email either, but I'm still hoping it comes in today. I live in Indiana, which is closer to Subterranean Press than most of you, so we'll see.

I never received an email. I do live in Ohio and Subterranean Press is based out of Michigan, so that probably explains the quick shipping time.

Anyone have any idea how long it takes to ship internationally? I live in Australia and dying to get my hands on this one...

At least since someone has got one I know that these are not mythical and I may actually get one eventually. :p

That comment on the Dragnipur illustration is slightly concerning though

In fairness, there are several absolutely awesome illustrations, such as when Tool saves Adjunct Lorn and the fight between Raest and Silanah and the other dragons.

However, a few of the illustrations are not very good. Also, apparently Kalam has gigantic dreadlocks. Did I miss a description in the books somewhere?

I didn't get an email, though...

Good luck for those waiting !

Everyone who got theirs fails at life, in my book. I rushed home from work only to find that it had not arrived, despite living only a few hundred miles away from Subterranean.

For those of you who have the book, are the maps that are in the original book in this special edition? Just curious.

Yes they are. Well there are definitely detailed maps but I didn't get out my mass paperback edition to compare, but from memory they look like the same maps as in the regular editions.

I don't think I agree about the lack of quality of the illustrations. Maybe the wagon in Dragnipur was a poor choice to have as one of the 6 pictures, and it is the least impressive I guess, but if you can find a kid who could draw with that detail then sign him up cuz he's a frikking genius! It looks like there are a lot of tormented souls in that wagon.... The other 5 pics are great IMO. I hope you guys in north america get yours soon - if not something might be amiss

Cheers :D
