@Urb- I saw on the website a while ago that they had started Deadhouse Gates, and were just waiting for it to get a little more advanced before announcing it for preorder.

Sweet!
Hopefully he does the whole series, and then I might just end up with a complete set for a change.
Discontinuity makes my skin crawl. Stupid Bantam bastards..

Hi
I just got my copy of the numbered edition of Gardens, except that it's not numbered. The circle below "This is copy" on the signature page is empty.
Does anybody else have that? It would be nice to know that my copy is even rarer than the lettered edition.

Mine says 302. Either they forgot to write it in yours, or they lied and made more than 500.

Yeah mine is 303, so they didn't forget here.
Not sure why it isn't, you should contact them.

Do you have a "PC" mention? If so, you were shipped a "Publisher's Copy" by mistake.
Essentially, it's the same as the numbered edition minus the number. . .
I'm supposed to be getting my copy this week! And Komarck is sending a couple of art prints to thank me for my help!!!

No PC mention. Probably just a mistake. I have been officially informed that I should put #323 in my copy, but I won't sully the page with my doodling.

The fall of Pale wasn't in my copy
Pat, do you know if it would it be possible to buy a poster of that scene?
I browsed through Kormack's website, but I couldn't find anything Malazan in there.
The sketch looked awesome.

Komarck told me that everything is sort of on hold, because he needs to get new and improved printing equipment.
Will let you know if/when I know more. . .

Fan_83: Exactly what did you expect?
Paying someone like Komarck to illustrate a book is expensive. More illustrations would mean a higher price.

pat: i understand that getting such an artist is expensive.. but we are paying over 100 usd for a book
your standard hardback of around teh same size is 30ish usd.. double that price for limited run.. you still have another 60 perbook to throw at artist.. i was hoping for around 15-20 illustrations....

It's mostly the limited run, if there was a 1000 made instead of 500, it would of bin 60$.

With 15 to 20 illustrations, the book would probably have been twice as expensive.
Not to mention how long it would have taken Komarck to get all the artwork done. . .

I got a reply from SubPress the other day, the person who makes the traycases has got it in their pile of stuff to do, but it's not at the top yet.
Which I think equates to "no idea", pretty much:(

It always takes a couple of months for the lettered editions to be done, so have patience. . .
