I just finished up MoI and this came in the mail the day after. After which book should I read this? And while I'm here, what about the Erikson novellas?

Hello Chap, Knight of Knives is set before Book one. So you could read it now but i think it would have more impact if you read it after the last book out now. Reapers.
The novella's need to be read after MOI as they are about some characters in there.
"I think i was a bad person before. Before this time. I do not try to be good now but i am not bad. Perhaps if i try harder i may get a better hand dealt next time? But surely that makes it pointless? Perhaps i am good. Just good at being pointless. But that would make me bad. Bad at having a point. Ah…. I see now. I was nothing before, I am nothing now. I am bad purely because im pointless. "

I see. I heard some characters from NoK were in one of the main series books, so I thought there was a certain point to read 'em. Thanks.

I would say definitely do not read NoK before Deadhouse Gates, as it will ruin some of the surprises in that book.
I read it after the Bonehunters, but that was because I couldn't get hold of it before.
It's hard to say when is best to read it in the main series. I would put it this way: read all the available main series books before turning to NoK. It's not entirely necessary to understand the main plot, but it does help you understand events from BH.
How about: read main series up to BH, read NoK then if you want but not before, and then continue with the main series.

Well NoK would've certainly helped with some of the events that took place in BH. Like the whole bit towards the end...I was really confused as to where some of the random characters came from and then I read NoK and I'm all ohhhh okay

I think it's safe to read NoK before or after BH.
But as many have repeated, best to do it in the natural order of things.

Agreed.
Especially regarding Kiska's storyline in NoK it's better to read NoK before Bonehunters, I think.

I have to say before Bonehunters too. Check the publishing dates. SE included some cross-refs to NOK in the books after NOK came out. So read the books in the order they were published. If u wait till after Bonehunters or RG, you'll miss out on some cool cross-refs.
