Arlovski was was badass back when he was hairy. Then he bought into the hype and started waxing his chest and back, and never looked the same. Coincidence? I think not.

Sometimes you have to tap just from how someone smells ... My secret weapon is I sweat so much it looks like I've just stepped out of the shower. And Tanner's beard is probably what allowed him to take all those shots and remain standing.

the beard absorbs the damage. the belly hair helps hide the flab armor.

I've wondered how much a beard like that, or thick hair, would help you absorb shots. It's go to provide some cushioning. I heard Frank Mir saying today that if you shave your head like a lot of guys, you're more likely to get cut. It makes sense.

i think the big beards can help throw off a shot that minute amount so you dont get hit totally cleanly in the chin

Might make it harder to escape a choke though.

Who's watching UFC this weekend? Some intersting fights. I want to see Gonzaga kick Mccully's face through the back of his head.

No, he's from Huntington Beach, California. Tito Ortiz's old training partner and buddy. I may have spelled his name wrong.

He doesn't seem like as big of an ass as Tito, but he's stilll plenty grating.

His nickname is THE INSANE ONE, and the last fight I saw him in was a plodding 3 round LnP borefest. Based on the humor I found in that, he's become my favorite fighter to dislike.

Xande Ribeiro says he's going to make his MMA debut later this year. If so, I'll literally attach myself to his bandwagon immediately. Thinking of an MMA fight between Ribiero and Roger Gracie makes me a little wet.

I'm looking forward to this UFC this weekend. Rampage should sodomize Griffin, and assuming he does, it may open up the possibility of WANDERLEI SILVA vs RAMPAGE JACKSON III. :D

I don't think Griffin will win, but I think he will do well for himself. Regardless, I wonder who's next in line for a title shot. If Chuck beats rashad Evans I believe it's been stated he is next. I think Wanderlei need to win one or two more times before getting a sot.

Sorry, I'm not betting. I could see Forrest pulling off the upset, shit look at his last fight. Like I said, regardless of who wins, Forrest will do well, he's a scrapper. I like both fighters, not rooting for anyone to lose on this one. I just feel that Forrest (who has said himself he's not a naturally hard striker) won't have the power to KO Rampage. His chance of winning is to push the pace and make Rampage gas, then win by submission. Problem is rampage has gone 5 rounds before, it's not going ot be easy to gas him.

Man, I'm getting myself all excited for this fight. Come on, Saturday!

I hope not. A Rampage/Liddell III fight doesn't interest me at all. At least both Silva/Rampage fights so far have been contenders as some of the best fights of all time.

I think Liddell/Rampage 3 would be interesting. The first fight was so long ago it really has little relevancy now. The second fight ended so quickly, we didn't really get to see either fighter show all they can do. I don't think Rampage will drop Chuck like that evvery time they fight. If Chuck fights smarter and protects himself, he'll stay awake and maybe be able to land some shots. It's a fight I would like to see.

Forrest/ Liddell would be the best.

C'mon RLY all you have to do is play 1 game of mafia. I swear if you hate it I will personally wash your balls (footballs) one day!
