Lol, I was joking. That pic is from after the Condit fight. That was a good fight though.

Yeah, I recognized the pic but I would have liked to see the fight. Ive probably missed 3 ppv UFC's in the last 7 years and that was 1 of them.

Condit's a decent fighter. I felt he clearly beat Diaz, which a lot of people thought was a controversial decision.

More than a decent fighter. If his fight against Hendricks would have been 5 rounds Condit most likely would have won. I think him and Hendricks are close to no.2 WW behind GSP.

Really excited for his fight with Matt Brown. Never really thought too much of Brown, but damn he's been on a run. Condit should be a heavy favorite and should be a fairly easy win for him, but at this point I wouldn't be too surprised to see Brown KO him. This sport is crazy, I love it!!!

Yeah, Matt has been real hit or miss in the past but he seems much more focused now. He's a tough guy, but I'm sure condit will outclass him in the long run.

Mark Hunt v. Antonio Silva.

Dude started the fight with yellow hair and finished with red. As this fight took place in Australia, I thought this was appropriate.

Awesome main event. I'm not a big fan of either fighter but that fight kind of turned me into one.

Nice KO by Mighty Mouse! Hopefully that will shut some people up about flyweights having no KO power.

Good win by Faber too. Nice to see him get the finish in his hometown. He's still in the mix for the BW title.

Damn shame Pettis and Brown got injured though.... The card was originally insane.

Mighty mouse looked good. Faber looked about the usual. These younger, new-school kids aren't maxing him out yet.

I like Danzig and lauzon about the same so wasn't too excited or disappointed about that one.

Good fights all around...all the better for being free :-)

Picking Anderson because I feel it's going to be a stand up fight. Weidman has more money to spend on camp, but he's still training with Wonder Boy Thompson as his Anderson emulator. Not good.

Picking Andersen myself. If he comes in hard I think it will end fast.

I hope Miesha Tate destroys Ronda Rousey. I caught some of the last season of the Ultimate Fighter and Rousey was a total asshole. She deserves to be humbled.

Hoping Miesha wins is alright. Actually thinking she'll win is kind of ludicrous. She hasn't shown any increased ability to defend the takedown and/or the armbar (as shown in the Zingano fight).

Ronda's only getting better too. This is going to be a one sided whomping.

Rousey is like the Diaz brothers....more mouth than is likeable...but she is good at what she does...a bit one-dimensional but good....I would love to see Tate expose her but I don't believe that's the way it will go...

I would also like to see Browne take Barnett but I think Barnett may be a bit too aggressive.

Stay classy Rousey.

And man, my gorge rose when seeing the slow motion replay of Silva's injury.

Most impressive of the night were the vicious elbows dropped by Travis Browne on Josh Barnett's ear.

Browne looks like he's getting ready to be in the title talks. I wish he could fight Hunt or Bigfoot instead of Werdum (to allow Werdum to work to contention as well). Very fluid athlete and has a good sense of when to throw what.

Ronda has huge problems with her ground game and it's kind of apparent that she's not going to fix them for another year or so. If Zingano can keep the fight standing or get on top, she can very much win that fight. We don't even need to wait for Cyborg Justino to come down in weight to get a Rousey-beater. McMann is still a year or so away from being a credible threat to Rousey also.

That leg break was a soul-crusher. Anderson was taking this seriously and fighting well. Weidman was fighting great and smartly as he could.

Where to begin...

Rousey was as dislikeable as ever...but more aggressive and stronger than Tate...I'm glad Tate tapped before her arm was broke...many holes in Rousey's game but its going to take someone much more aggressive to really pick them apart..

Travis Browne...who the hell wins with elbows to the ear TWO TIMES...he looked much better in this fight than his last and Barnett looked sluggish at best...just goes to show you...good fighters don't look near as good when up against solid ufc talent...

Silva v. Weidman...solid start for weidman...typical start for silva against a wrestler...too bad about silva...I'm sure an athlete like him will recover well enough but why go through all the rehab it would take to become professional level again...he's just too old to stage a come back in 3 years...and why put himself through it...the end of the silva era...

A lot of good fights...not sure how many more I'm going to rent at $60 a pop though...with silva and st Pierre out of the game, I'm not too emotionally attached to most of the newer talent...might be a good time to quit spending $500 a year on ppv..

Aw fuck. It looks like Rousey/McMann in February. Welp. Looks like Rousey's going to be champion a while longer.

The PPV increase in price was for this event only (supposedly).

And the creation of Income Tax in the UK was for the Napoleonic War only (so we'll see)

Mma was my favorite thing for years...but I'm more into firearms and all its many different (and expensive) aspects. It would probably be different if I was young enough to spend my time training mma...watching a sport just isn't as interesting as participating.

Plus i get to shoot things lol.

I think I've missed 3 ppv events since 2007. I've spent a lot of money on ppv. Might be time to move on...

Yeah..I could get back in shape...probably would take 6 months or so to get flexibility and cardio good enough to keep from hurting myself...

This is kind of the way I look at it...about 8 years ago I started wearing my seat belt...2 years ago my estranged father gave me a motorcycle and I sold it after riding it twice...I haven't been skiing in 10 years...

What's the common thread?

A 13,9,8 and 3 year old. I would love to be the guy who skydives and races bikes and participates in mma but I am the only person who can take care of my family (financially). I could not afford to be out of work for 2 months if I got hurt. If I were disabled, my family would survive but we would have to rely on some sort of charity or another. If I died, my life insurance would pay off a lot bills but wouldn't substitute 25 years of me working.

I don't mind getting some exercise but my responsibilities require that I be careful in my hobbies. For the record, I was in great shape when I was younger. =)

UFC 170:

Thought McMann (with her strong wrestling background) would have given Rousey a tough match. Rousey's knee to the liver was brutal.

The co-headliner (Daniel Cormier v. Patrick Cummings) was meh.

Rory MacDonald was impressive in his win over Demian Maia. Well, his surviving the first round in the clutches of Maia through the duration of the round was impressive, after that Maia had no more gas in the tank. MacDonald should definitely be in the discussion on who fights the winner between Hendricks and Lawler.
