Holy shitballs. Tito actually won? Makes me want to start following the sport again (not that I support Tito, just really surprised). Hate looking at the fight cards and only recognizing a few of the older faces.

Tito won in dominant fashion. His guillotine basically put Bader to sleep after he'd stunned and knocked down Bader.

Please don't tell me you bet on Akiyama, Pyle or Yahya.

MMA discussion on here has been quiet for a while and that's partly my fault. Writing judo chops and hanging on the board for it has cut into my discussing it here.

Rashad looked good. Tito didn't look terrible until he let Rashad "cook" him from side control and crucifix. Evans did a good job of keeping tight and calmly dispatching Tito after that.

DAMN!!!

Watched every fight live last night, only the vemola one wasn't good. Up until the last 2 events the facebook prelims were shitty quality for me, but now they almost look HD. Good to see Lytle go out with a good win, but i don't know WTF Hardy was doing...

R.I.P. Shawn Tompkins..... I wonder how he died. That was shocking to hear.

It was a great card. I shit the bed with my fantasy picks as I didn't get a single one right on the main card and missed the Hamman and Herman wins. At least I correctly picked against Vemola and Caceres.

The Tompkins thing was very surprising. He was a good coach and I had a brilliant interview with him earlier this year on my radio show. Hopefully his family deals with it well and his legacy stays strong.

GSP/Condit sould be a great fight, but I was really looking forward to GSP dominating Diaz. Maybe he was scared, homie

Hah, nice.

But he ain't out of the UFC. I was really looking forward to seeing GSP own Diaz and Condit beat BJ, but the card still seems the same quality to me, should be great.

I am happy for Condit though. He deserves the shot much more than Diaz, especially since Nick hasn't even had a fight in the UFC.

Diaz has had 9 fights in the UFC.

The last one was five years ago though. And no way Condit beats BJ.

Of course I know Diaz used to be in UFC, but yeah that was a long time ago. I get that he was the strikeforce champ and a new challenge to GSP, but I didn't think he should get an instant title shot.

and I meant to say I was hoping to see Condit beat BJ. I don't think he would have, but I think he would have put up a good fight.

Try watching Strikeforce and DREAM 17 last night. That's a late night. I passed out around 5 am and missed grappling because I was too dang tired to wake up at 10.

Might be that I'm too old now to watch this stuff live every time and still get everything done in real life.

UFC 136 is the best card for the remainder of the year. Top to bottom, excellent card. Only Penn/Diaz has the excitement level of 136 on any of the following cards.

predictions / hopes for 136 then?

personally I have to admit, I hope Sonnen gets beaten. Chael just comes across as a bit of a dick to me. Especially his whining about the result against Silva.

I think Edgar will edge Maynard,
Florian / Aldo could go either way I think, but i'll guess Florian.
meh. Link was dead :(

If Maynard has learned his lesson and doesn't punch himself out in the first round I think he will beat Edgar this time around. I really like Edgar so I hope he can pull it out but Maynard can just manhandle him and bludgeon him to win the fight probably by TKO. Aldo is going to destroy Florian- Aldo wants to put on a better performance since his last fight and brutalize Kenny in the stand-up and Florian has nothing to challenge Jose on the ground. That fight will mirror Florian-Penn. I would hope Stann can beat Chael but he will probably be taken down and dry-humped to a UD loss- though I would love to be wrong on that one. Garcia will fight like an idiot like he always does and hopefully a miracle judging SD won't give him a win this time. Melvin is going knock Joe's head off unless Joe can take him down and keep him there.

Really juiced for the fights tomorrow. <_<

I think Frankie pulls this fight fairly comprehensively. Apart from that disastrous first round against Maynard, he did great. In my opinion, it's on Maynard to improve dramatically - otherwise he gets outworked and probably frustrated for the entire fight. And Gray's never improved dramatically in his career. It's been slow, steady progress.

This card is nuts. I dumbly volunteered to liveblog Bellator 53 for BloodyElbow, but I'll be paying attention to this. Probably have Bellator on the tv and stream the UFC card on my brother's giant desktop monitor next to it.

Gray Maynard will have Frankie Edgar nightmares for the rest of his life- twice he had the man almost finished and the belt around his waist and twice he blew it. First time gassed out so this time he goes completely the other way and fights way too conservatively and lets Frankie back in the fight. At first I thought it was smart not to blow his load early but once Frankie regained his wits he put on a clinic against Gray. Maynard just got slower and slower and Frankie's footwork and timing was amazing- fantastic finish to the fight. I thought Gray was going to win but I was rooting for Frankie so I'm glad. Joe Lauzon shocked the hell out me with that finish- caught Melvin being too over-confident and finish it in a heartbeat. Chael looked good but it was against Stann who always had a problem with wrestlers- no shock there but a good finish for Chael with the sub.
