That was a stunning game. Nadal pushed Federer all the way, I wanted him to win by the end... great displays of skill by both players though, classic final.


Despite there not being a British contender, that comprehensively beat Silverstone as British sporting event of the day.

My neighbour whose I was watching it at thinks the same as you (I was only watching it because he was away, so I was watching the GP at his empty house and switched over to Wimbledon after) and he got into it.

And my sister, who barely understands the rules, was gaping at some of the shots that were played.

Both of those players play beautiful tennis.

hah ok fine I admit I sometimes stopped by to watch a toe-to-toe game. ofc it's not even close in terms of fun-to-watch as a good football match, but top-tier matches can get entertaining ;-) but it's certainly better than, say, badminton, or hockey.

Well, obviously it's not better to watch than football. Football > everything.

Can't wait for the new season! Even though I'll probably miss the first round of matches as I'll be in Poland and unable to watch them.

I'm stuck here all year 'round, haha. not much entertainment until the Champions League or some Cup thingy...
that being said, polish volleyball league is climbing to the very top, along with our national team's performance in international tournaments. think we'll be in the top 3 at least this World League! actually I can't say anyone but Brazil can stop us. maybe the US could tho, seeing they performed very well in the qualifiers.

I know nothing of volleyball. At all. Even though I used to play it when I was little. Good to hear though...
The athletics team seem to also be doing alright.

I couldn't care less about athletics. sport=games, random running, jumping, throwing and whatever, not my favourite to say the least

Thank FUCK it's over. These last few weeks have been pain every time I open a paper or turn on the TV, that fucking useless excuse for a sport is there clogging up everything constantly.

It's just so dull. It was on the radio earlier too. Why? All they were saying was essentialy "its been hit, returned, returned again, now federer's hit it back again,a nd now Nadal's hit it back and it's gone out!"

Thrilling shit. ;)

We get to watch Neighbours again. Not only is tennis boring, but essential viewing gets cancelled to make way for it.
