Thought I'd do some thread necromancy...

I just got my copy of Fatal Revenant in the mail. I had last read from "Lord Foul's Bane" straight through to "Runes of the Earth" when that last book came out.

Now, I don't have the time (or the inclination) for a reread of the preceding seven books before getting into this one. So my question is:

a) I saw there is a 'Story so far' section in this book - is it good enough to read that and get into it?
:p Do I have to reread Runes of the Eart before I get into this book?
c) Are there any chapter summaries out there (for the whole series/ for Runes of the Earth) that may help?

a) I think the 'story so far' part is indeed good enough, it was good enough for me and I hadn't read the First or Second Chronicles beforehand.
:p If you remember the basics of Runes of the Earth then no, you'll quickly get into the flow of the story without reading Runes of the Earth -
SPOILER! SPOILER! SPOILER! Oh, for the ending of RotE and basically the beginning of FR.
Spoiler

c) I'm not sure, but I don't think you need any.
