He WAS suspiciously absent, wasn't he? Probably due to an unexpected 'lead weight' episode out at sea. I would have loved - LOVED - for Bruthen Trana to walk past him, sitting next to a very heavy object he's tied to and sulking during Trana's underwater trip.

Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

Not quite on topic for which I apologise, but this is the first time I have seen Bruthen Trana mentioned .. and I have to say I really liked that guy. He was just solid without all the fancy sword skills and awesome magery etc if you know what I mean
.. just solid.

I've been mentioning him in a few other threads, including correcting you mistaking him for Brohl Hanadar, the Edur with the Lether force fighting the Awl (mwahaha). He was cool, and I'd miss him.

I was also curious about Harlest. Nobody even mentioned him. At least Wyval got a token "he left the group" reference.

In a perfect world, I would've liked either:
1. Shurq Ellalle dropped Harlest off someplace (with the Crimson Guard, or someplace else), and he ends up being Emancipor Reese's sidekick in the Bauchelain/Korbal Broach miniverse.
2. Silchas Ruin and party encountering him hiding out and "haunting" one of the cities or underground areas in the vicinity of Bluerose.
