knuckles most definately stands for the FA
1) they never use any weapon, prefering to use fists
2) the elder god setchul latch, who is in the undersea azath with killy, appears to be a FA and wants to be called knuckles by Brys

You mean Bruthen Trana i think.... Knuckles does seem FAish, but is also said the Errants card personifies the FA as a whole... My Crazy Theory? The Errant will set the FA on the world. It will boil down to a big scary battle between humans, the CG, and Mael, versus everyone else lol

yes yes, bruthen trana. that one part always confused me, the FA as personified by the errant, doesnt seem to fit.

I think that the Errant and FA are personified by the Knuckles tile as uncertainty, personally. That factor of 'What the devil is going to happen next? I have no idea'. Feel free to translate that into English as you will. And now I have to stop posting in non-Inn threads til I get bored of 2222 posts.
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

Crazy? How about....
On the Moon a “Jade†God is averting its eyes, to maintain the balance. It will however turn its gaze to Wu and arrive, a bit like the CG but x1000000. ST and a few others are aware of this event horizon and everything so far has been a preparation of defences for such a time. Kettle states in RG “something is comingâ€. Also in tBH the whole section about the Jade hands/fingers/giants, the screaming human souls, etc. Where did the giant come from? An opening salvo.
The CG has the most knowledge of this God, him being an alien, and wants to get outta the way of this impact from “The Gardens of the Moonâ€. He is desperate to be free as this God is pure Ottaral. Maybe it was worshipped in the past by K’CCM techno heads allowing the overcoming of magic orientated K’CCM and Draconians. Becoming aware of this situation, many EG buggered off to hide (where are they?). ST and a handful of others are pretty much the only ones doing something about this.
When this God arrives it will free many from the Azath, hence ST trying to control the Deadhouses, and maybe eliminate any that won’t side against said Jade God, or at least minimize the Pandora’s Box effect as much as possible. Also having no magic of any sort will kinda screw any plans he may have, as well as all the others and their various machinations.
This is full of holes, but you get the idea, so…..shoot me down. Lol.

in tBH wre hear about the FA not liking the Errant's "unpredictability aspect", and bringing "peace" to his worshippers to make him stop. Hence, I doubt that two forces, one of which wishes to kill the other would share a single tile....

Ok a new Idea just occurred to me in another thread. I don't know if it has been stated before and I missed it or not.
Ok if the theory that the KCCM survived the battle on Lether with the Edur and Andii is right. Then over the last several hundred thousand years wouldn't the KCCM have been able to regroup and to have at least conquered the rest of Lether. I mean they are the bad asses of the planet, any way that you look at it. After a hundred thousand years or so shouldn't they have been able to swarm out and take over the Lether Empire....
I would have thought so. So what if they were holding back from taking the continent over for another reason. And that reason has something to do with the Short tails and the CG.
If I remember Toc's and redmask's first meeting correctly. Toc said that they were looking for him, and that they were surprised that he wasn't a KCCM. Ok so why were the grey swords looking for the KCCM first sword. What if we have the whole situation backwards? What if instead of the greyswords looking to only meet up the Bargast and the Bonehunters. They are all gathering to meet up with the KCCM in order to combat the Short tails that the CG has brought back to life.
-Vengeance notes that this theory seems to have some holes in it but was posted anyway.

it's ok, since it's crazy anyway...
As for why the KCCM haven't gone on a conquering rampage--times have changed, power draws power and all that... If they tried, most of the Houses would gang up on them and finish what Scabby started...

See that would make sense, if the other powers could have. I believe that Gothos ritual made it so that the Continent was virtually inaccessable by anyone else. So untill the proper things came together to break the ritual only the gods that were there could have stoped the KCCM. And if they had invaded before Toehl was born would Mael have cared enough to have stoped them. I don't think that the Errant could have.
How many fucking people do I have to hammer in order to get that across.

i think you just answered your own question, gothos ritual froze the place in time, KCCM, cold-blooded lizards no? i expect they would have been mighty sluggish in getting their lives back after an eons long ice age. and it would have been pretty hard for them to get beyond the range of the ritual.

Grub is gonna be the Malazan Empire's First Sword. So, he's actually Dassem's son, somehow.
I was under the impression that Grub was actually Coltain reborn?

Coltaine reborn was featured at the end of DG where a murder of crows comes to the Wickan pregnant girl whose child was born without a soul. According to SE, Coltaine reborn will NOT be featured in any other MBotF books.

Grub was around when Coltaine was in command, unless Coltaine is a unique D'ivers it is not possible. It is as above stated, Coltaine reborn will not feature in the main series again.

Well, I can't believe we'va allowed this thread to wither and fall into disuse to the bottom of page 2
In light of the TTH prologue, there should be crazy theories a plenty--and they belong here
A though occured to me (random, I know): Is it possible that we have been steadily missing one of the main arcs/points of emphasis of the entire series?
I am talking, Of course, about the T'lan Imass. I haven't read the KB & B novellas, but aside from that every malaz book includes at least a mentioning of the T'lan Imass, and only NoK lacks an actual Imass character ( i don't remembere there being any, anyways). And if you think about it, their history is massive enoughto deserve knowing.
Ofc, this IS just a crazy theory, and it's only purpose is to bump this thread up for more crazy speculations

the crippled god will get dragnipured and his soul, once inside the sword, will be used to seal the gate to K.G.
also fisher kel tath will reveal himself to be none other than k'rul who took up poetry when all his worshipers left him

So far most of the T'lan Imass, along with Silverfox, are "off stage" in Assail. I think we'll eventually get more of thier story, but not until the ICE novel which covers the goings on in Assail.

Crazy theory you say?
The Long-Tails and Short-Tails differencing that every character thought they understood is wrong. The K'Chain with somewhat stubby tails (that killed Ganath, fought Karsa, etc.) are just another type of Che'Malle. These ones were breeded by the matrons so that they could operate machinery, as the K'ell Hunters and regular Che'Malle couldn't sit comfortably with their big tails. The true Short Tails from the past, however, are completely different from the Che'Malle and are actually giant... penguins. The world will now see the K'Chain Nah'ruk Penguins come out of the secret Antarctic continent on Wu and try to kill everyone else. Why would they do such a thing? Well with the fall of the CG, the shower of Jade Suns, Legana Breed's falling fireball, Moon Spawns flying around and the moon getting closer, there is so much activity in the sky that the Nah'ruk Penguins' tourism industry, based on the celestial wonder of the Southern Lights, is losing a lot of money...
