They don't have many, because they were done by people in their spare time, and those people were very busy at the time;)
What's confusing you, maybe we can help.

Well basically the different magic systems (if thats what they are)
The warrens I understand are a gateway to get from one place to another in a short time, but whats the difference between the death one or the sky one, the sea one or the land one??? Then there is elder ones???
Whats with the Wizard, Hairlock and supposedly meddles with the warren of chaos??? whats up with all these???
Then there is the Dragon deck of cards. It seems like a sort of Tarrot cards to tell the future, but I can't make any sense on what they mean and the difference of ranks within each house that is mentioned with the cards, its all confusing.
The bridgeburners and malezen empire chapters are more confusing as far as plot goes/means.....
The plot and happenings with the assasins guild and the phoenix inn regulars and alchemist seems more clear and makes sense to me..

Heheh, fair enough.
The warrens are a number of different things - but basically where a mage draws his/her power from. They can also be used to travel through. The different aspects manifest themselves in different ways, as you might expect - this will become clearer the more you read, especially in Memories of Ice. Elder Warrens are basically warrens used by Elder Races and Gods.
The Deck of Dragons is exactly what you said - a tarot pack. Different positions simply represent different people or factions. Some are filled permenantly, others change who they represent, like a normal Tarot (as far as I understand them).
As for the plot... you really will have to keep reading for that. I recommend a re-read as soon as you've finished the first time - it should clear up a lot of stuff:) But remember, it's a long series, he doesn't explain everything in the first book!

The problem (and in my opinion, the beauty) of SE's world is that there is no concrete explanation of anything. But it does make it confusing. Suffice it to say that the warrens are magical realms and sources for power, and differant warrens represent differant gods, or groups.
For the Bridgeburners/Malazan Empire parts, it feels confusing because youre thurst into a world already full of history. The Malazan Empire is an empire (durr
) thats more or less set out to take control of the world. The Bridgeburners are one of the elite units of the Malazan Empires armies. However, the Malazan Empire "recently" went through a power shift, and Emperor Kellnaved and his companion, Dancer, appear to have been assassinated, and Laseen has taken control as Empress.
What exactly this means for the Bridgeburners themselves is unclear, however they have quite a few theories that they voice (also theres discussion of it in the next 2 books Deadhouse Gates and Memories of Ice) so I say keep reading, even if its a little confusing. And as caladanbrood said, do yourself a favour once you're done and give it another read

Thanks for the help. Looks like I understood the cards after all and you have definately cleared up the confusion of the warrens being both SOURCE of power AND traveling.
I won't be reading this book again back to back, but I will go with the advice and read on and let the other books reveal the confusion over time. I will re-read the series perhaps, once all is said and done as you reveal things you never saw the first time because you hadn't read the other books for the insight

I don't think there's any official pronunciation for anything. I just find a version I like, and stick to it.
