The Bonehunters was where I officially caught up with the series, I couldn't wait for the standard-small-sized one so I bought the huge one instead. I picked it up from Waterstone's near the start of March... for RG I'm going to Blackwell's, officially the best bookshop in the UK and conveniently 30 seconds from my college room. They'll have it on time AND in stock (they'd better).

Edit:

THIS time i order it from amazon.guam if necessary to get it asap.

I seem to remember noticing TBH got to Amazon sales rank no.1 or 2 on pre-orders last year! Non-mainstream fiction my posterior.

G'day Folks,

get on ebay and have a look if you're really keen. I've managed to get the first four books, the healthy dead, night of knives and the healthy dead in hard back and signed! Waiting for Midnight Tides to come out in HB so I can grab that and complete my set.

I was able to get my copy of TBH in February last year, so hopefully it'll be in shops around the 18th of March this time. Finishing it and gloating was so satisfying I want to do it all over again! You can really see why Pallor enjoys the taunting so much.

I know exactly what you mean - Though I got in a lot of trouble because I posted spoilers from BH on my MSN name. Yeah I wasn't very popular that week... :D

I made the experience with tBH that I ordered it 2 weeks before the official release in the little bookshop i always purchase my books, but got it 3 weeks after the release...because they get it with ships here..such a waste.

How do you get them on time in Norway? It's no prob here if you're ordering something like Harry Potter, those they have at the official release date ready (in english) But SE? ...nah.

Around here I've never seen a HC of SE. Not an english version nor a german one. SE ain't that popular in Germany, I would conclude. :D :D

Yeah, it's strange, I only know one other guy who reads the books, he was the one who recommended them to me. Still, in the shops, both the fantasy/sf book shop and in the normal high-brow bookshop (with a small section for fantasy, mind you) they got in TBH on the release day - whatever day it was. I guess they order from the British publisher, and just get it in time.

Last year I ordered it a couple of months before it was due to be released. Then they sent me a message about two or three weeks before it was due to be released, saying that if I now pre-ordered it I would get it at a much reduced rate. So I changed my order, and got the good deal. It arrived within a week. :D It was a pleasant experience, make no mistake. I shall await the email again, and hope it happens like it did before!

Nerd.
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

Waterstones is the best Imho, ordered Night of Knives and it was home for 2 weeks, considering they didnt have it in stock when I ordered
I have stolen princesses from sleeping barrow kings
I have burned the town of Trebon
I have spent the night with Felurian and left with both my sanity and my life
I was expelled from the University at a younger age most people are allowed in
I tread paths by moonlight that others fear to speak of during the day
I have talked to Gods, loved women, and written songs that make minstrels cry
You may have heard of me....

There was a MT hardback in a WHSmiths that I saw...but I'm not really inclined to be a book collector and it didn't seem like it would be £20 well spent. Still, I hear they're rare...

I'm going to preorder my RG right now.

Don't look now, but I think there's something weird attached to the bottom of my posts.

For BH I ordered off Amazon.ca. Now I have this mutt collection of a trade paperback BH, mass market paperback of MT, DG, and the rest in US hardcover. I hate that. I suppose I'll suck in and get Reaper's Gale in Canadian hardcover. Sigh.

Hang on, the release date on Amazon.co.uk has suddenly changed from 2 April to 7 May! ;) Has Bantam changed the date?

I hate to raise this, but anyone remember how much in advance of the Bonehunters July 2005 release date we found out it would actually be Feb 2006???

I believe this may be the appropriate time to begin this :D ;) :p

- Abyss, sorry, just ruined your day.
