Presumably Claire would still have the catalyst in her though? Nothing has happened to her to take it away...

Sir Thursday
Don't look now, but I think there's something weird attached to the bottom of my posts.

I thought we had stopped with the spoilers?

Yes, I am hoping so. There was something happening allright.

I definitely enjoyed this episode. Still waiting desperately for Peter to get his powers back, but it might not happen this season - unless Dad Petrelli dying is it.

I haven't read many of the previous replies, but I think that the show has gone from amazing (series 1) to boring (2) to unwatchable (3). This last series has been one stupid, non-sensical, absurd plot twist after another. It feels like the writers are just making it up as they go along, and I've totally lost interest in what's going on because it's so...dumb.

I also miss the intensity of the first season. The pace was kind of slower, but really intense. And the characters had real lives, with jobs etc. Now they're just running around like maniacs.

Aye, it wasnt "superheroes" trying to be super, it was just ordinary people trying to figure out what was happening.

Yeah, my take on a 3rd season would be all these regular people trying to save the world, all while trying to keep a sense of normalcy in their lives. Not this plot-poopery they've made it into. Still enjoy the concept in some ways, but they could have made it so much better.

I miss Niki -- she and DL really brought home the 'down-to-earth'-ness of the first season. She was my favourite character.
It is perfectly monstrous the way people go about nowadays saying things against one, behind one's back, that are absolutely and entirely true.

So, did everyone just love how this ended, or what?

Oops, hit 'reply' too fast. I thought it was some mega-dumb shit tbh. Perhaps that's why no one has bothered saying anything about it...

I thought it was...meh. At least they could have hinted at if Peter got his original power back or just the flying. It will keep bugging me. The story was just stupid. Suddenly Nathan is bad? I mean, come on, what is up with that? It went far too fast. Kind of liked how Peter handled the situation though. I also liked Claire in this episode. Sylar stopped being interesting the moment he got on his revenge spree. Old news. And we still don't know what happened when dad Petrelli died.

All in all I can understand how people ended up where they were, but it went too fast. Ando got a support ability, that's a shock. Not. Once a side kick always a side kick.

All in all, this season: Meh.

NEXT!

I pretty much agree that the overall season was meh, but I did like the last two episodes. I'll hold off judgment until I can get the season on DVD for a Heroes marathon.

My feeling after 3 seasons, tho, is that Kring & co started in season one with such a brilliantly written and produced story that each episode totally messed with your head. In seasons 2 & 3, however, messing with your head at breakneck speed seems to have become the primary goal whilst writing and production became secondary.
Shaken, not stirred.

Yeah, I agree with that. They should go back to doing a good story. The rest are just spice.

I really liked this last ep. OBVIOUSLY SPOILERS
SPOILERS SPOILERS
SPOILERS FOR DEC 15 2008 EP
SPOILERS
HIRO SUCKS SPOILERS
DIE HIRO SPOILERS DIE
YOU USELESS WHINY SPOILERS
THINLY VEILED WRITERS SELF-INSERTION SPOILERS
EFFORT FUCKING DIE SPOILERS

Sadly, Hiro did not die.

I liked the Sylar/Noah/Clair et al plotline. The idea of Sylar going bonkers and getting revenge on Angela and Noah at the same time was a nice touch. There was some solid Noah here, releasing the other prisoners, leaving Clare's mom to explode, etc. Hayden was awesome - probably her best acting in the series. And she rawks for stabbing Sylar in the brainz. Not sorry to seek Meredith go boom - she was disposable. While it was sort of fun to see Sylar dabble in being a goodguy this season, he really needs to be like this: fully bugnuts crazy homicidal hannibal lechter with powers.

The Peter v Nate thing had been building for a while, as was the Dark Nathan turn. I enjoyed this plotline. I liked how easily Knox took out the super-soldier and was taken out by Traci in turn. i liked Nathan throwing down on Knox knowing full well he couldn't beat him. I even liked Peter taking the initiative and trashing the place. Good question whether he got the full power mojo back or just flight. It did look like he healed the scar, so it seems he got the full mojo and also it seems the future has changed yet again.

Hiro/Parkman/Ando/Daphne... this plotline made my eyes bleed. The writers should have sections of their brainz excised to remove all vestiges of what they have done with these characters this season.

- Abyss, still in but this show irks.

Bright news for the next season: Bryan Fuller (most recently the creator of Pushing Daisies) is returning to write some episodes for the 4th season. I loved his show Dead Like Me and it's nice to know that someone who can write good character development and not just toss in random, nonsensical plot twists will be heading up some parts. Especially since they're supposed to rewind a bit and have some of the heroes trying to regain some semblance of normalcy in their life (ie.

Yes, I'd be happy to have the characters have actual jobs next season. Not just this running around like maniacs.

I just watched the last two episodes after wrestling with the idea of dropping the show from viewing habits entirely.

Great googa wooga, this half-season was terrible. Truly excremental terrible. Characters changed personalities and motives at the drop of a hat. Plot lines appeared, wandered around with a dazed look on their faces, and disappeared at an alarming rate. I watched the "finale" and when it ended, I quite literally sat there, stunned at how awful it was and wondering what the hell had happened to "Heroes." Sylar as a Jigsaw clone? Really? REALLY?

I'm in fucking awe of how fast and how furiously "Heroes" has crashed and burned. Mindblowing.

We're only partway through, but I've stopped watching altogether. If this was all they had, they should never have made a second and third series.

I think they've tried to over-correct for the fact that nothing happened in the second series due to the writers strike but making random things happen. The problem being there's no reason behind these things happening. Elle in particular really pissed me off, and Arthur was actually pretty pointless in the end too. I didn't mind Hiro's storyline, because it was at least tied in quite a bit with the main part with Suresh and Arthur, but it's been a very dissapointing Volume, all in all :(

The problem is that they seem to think that making the characters run around like crazies makes up for nothing happening in 2nd season. It doesn't. They should go back to making good stories with high intensity.
