Nice chill out track. Been thinking about using this track as the music for a slideshow of landscape photos, with "the break" coming in time with a big panoramic photo. Now i just need to get enough decent photos to make a good slideshow, since landscapes ain't my thing.

Nice one Tapper. Otis is awesome. I know it's so famous it's practically a cliche, but "Sitting on the Dock of the Bay" has to be one of the greatest songs ever. And how appropriate that it was one of the last things he recorded (just days before he died). What a swansong.

Here's one of my favourite songs ever, not just soul songs, but any genre.

@ MTS - Too kind. Of course, I try to only post the tracks here that I am willing to stand over as good tracks. There's plenty of crap in my music collection too, It just doesn't get played much (or at all).

At the moment I'm trying to pick out tunes i like and could potentially use for either photography slideshows, or maybe even a time-lapse video or two. So I've been going over some old chilled instrumental tunes. You will notice the trumpet shows up a lot in the tunes I pick. Here are a few older ones

Purple Penguin - Mountain
A slight remix compared to the version i have, but close enough. From about 1992 i think.


Amon Tobin - Slowly
Love this tune. A buddy of mine gave me a 60 min mix he had done from various ninja tune artists, mixed with some old star wars clips, and it was excellent. But it took me forever to figure out who did what tracks.

Wanted to listen to some happier tunes, so I put on the last album by an upcoming canadian indie band, "Said The Whale". While the songs mightn't strictly all be happy songs, the harmonies always make things seem a bit sunnier somehow.

nice band, quite a variable sound. Heard a live recording of theirs on CBC radio and they were really impressive.
