CELEBRATION - Evergreen <----- that's the song, since the names are no giveaway.
A great album opener.

ALEXISONFIRE - Rough Hands

Have heard a solo album by Dallas green from ALEXISONFIRE under the moniker CITY AND COLOUR and it's pretty good. It's a different style being more acoustic in nature.

Hey Tiste, I had a listen to that new Opeth album. Some of it is pretty good. A lot softer in sound than I'd imagined.
"Heir Apparent" - not a fan of the shouty style of delivery, which made it hard for me to like this song, but I really liked the last 2 minutes of instrumental stuff.
"Burden" - Quite liked that since it was sung in a more "normal" fashion.
"Hessian Peel" and "Hex Omega" were pretty good too if i remember right.

didn't like "The Lotus Eater" at all though.

It's on a listening station in my local Cd store now, so i'll give it another listen today or tomorrow and see if my opinion stays the same.

I'm just glad you listened to it with an open mind. I figured you would prefer the less heavy stuff, though this isn't one of their heavier albums. I would recommend their completely non-metal album, "Damnations." It's very good, but remniscint of a lot of 70's prog rock. Though having said that, I still disagree with you: The Lotus Eater is awesome! Jazzy riffage ftw! :(

SWERVEDRIVER - Duel
Ahhh.......... Early 90's British alternative rock.

KINSKI - Semaphore
6min instrumental - pretty grungey sounding. gets a bit wonky near the 2min mark, but then it really kicks off. Love it.

Meshuggah - I

Meshuggah is Yiddish for "crazy" and they live up to the name! This song is one of those 1 song albums that prog metal groups do from time to time, though it is only 21 minutes long, so it's more of an EP (as opposed to the album "Crimson" by Edge of Sanity which is just one 40 minute long song!) Insane though.
