Haha that's pretty rad. Then to blast it with the windows down the whole ride home.

Way ahead of you. Barnsley is a rough place and sometimes I pick the Mrs up from work. So you have a scowling, murderous looking Viking driving his misanthrobile down the road whilst Cling Cling blasts out of the car at high volume.

When I saw it was you posting I knew it had to be a fun one. You didn't disappoint...

Also, hi, haven't seen you for a while! Got lost in your erotic were-dolphin fiction again?

Hi! How are you?
I particularly admire the serpent's thick, slithery potency in the video. :D

Alas, poor were-dolphins have been shoved back into the sea. A while ago I discovered the delights of Bear Shifter romance, and apparently haven't quite noticed how time flies during all this greedy devouring of these fantastic tales.

Rivers Cuomo wrote a song for the new Monkees album! And it's pretty darn great.

Well, I've attempted some shapeshifting myself, but the only non-human form I've successfully achieved turned out to be a rather nerdy pastel-hued unicorn. Which clashes hideously with my carefully crafted gothic guise. :)

So how did you like 'em? Arousing, titillating, wondrous, divine?

More like hilarious, side-splitting, farcical.

I like to highlight the best lines ('his bear-hood exploded inside her') to read aloud to the household.

Usually, the blurbs are the best part though. That, or the cover art.

For instance -

Unbearable by W.H. Vega

What's a girl to do when she finds herself face to face with a ferocious bear in the middle of the forest?

Gabby never should've stumbled off the beaten path but hind sight is…well. And no to mention—She. Hates. Bears.

Thank god for Zane, a super sexy park ranger who just happens to be on patrol and comes to Gabby's rescue. The two immediately butt heads but Gabby can't control the overwhelming urge to let him take what he wants—and he can't deny she is everything he wants.

What Zane doesn't tell Gabby is that he's a werebear shifter and second in command of the ruthless Virtus clan…but she's got a few surprises of her own and she won't be easy prey.

When rival bear clans discover Gabby has royal blood running through her veins the hunt is on. She has no choice but to seek Zane's protection. The incredibly sexy, super cocky man who also happens to be a bear…

What Zane doesn't tell Gabby is that he's the reason she hates bears in the first place—he's the one who killed her father 20 years ago.

Not something you'd expect to find in a Music thread. :)

Unless there's some sort of suggested soundtrack to listen to while reading?

Maybe something with deep, growling vocals. Or perhaps ...

:p

This, this is what you should think of when someone says country music. Not that godforsaken shit they play on the radio.

Is that not on the radio? Kinda surprised. I been hearing nothing but hype around Sturgill this whole past month or two, but I avoid the radio as much as possible. It's definitely not bro-country so maybe it doesn't have room in the mainstream playlist.

Anyway, I finally watched/listened to Lemonade, and wowie zowie. It delivers. I didn't expect to hear a country song on this, btw, but it's one of the best tracks on there, and of course it makes sense and has thematic resonance.

I'm sure there are some stations in Texas and maybe Nashville that play Sturgill and Jason Isbell and the like. But for the main part its still Florida Georgia Line and Luke Bryan. And it makes me sad.

To make me feel better, heres some Bingham.

Just discovered this band. And they are amazing.

Had to laugh at the "bubblegrunge" label. It's so apt! She's going heavy on the, what would you call em, Betty Boop-isms in her vocals. I like it.

New Aesop Rock has been out a couple weeks now, and I gotta say it's one of his very best. So good top to bottom. Also, his most nakedly personal, confessional stuff ever imo. There's still plenty of the usual inscrutable lyrics buried in layers of metaphor, but some shockingly straightforward stuff.

Also, this beat bangs.

"They will chop you down just to count your rings".
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

I often feel like the only epic fantasy fan who does not listen to Metal.
Rage Against the Machine and System of a Down are basically as angry as I get. Plus Dethklok, but... they're Dethklok.

Meanwhile, people were posting for a sec about BEAR EROTICA.
The subject came up with some friends recently as we were going to write a Sasquatch erotica called LADYSQUATCH wherein a man is seduced by a female Sasquatch. Then one of our number produced this ridiculous gem:

BEAR by Marion Engel which actually won the Governor General's Award in 1979! (in Canada this is NOT an award taken lightly)
