Buckcherry - Tired of You
Also, I just learned about an artist called "Modern Mouse" and got 2 of their albums. Ridiculous/funky music and vocals, but damn catchy nonetheless.

Modern Mouse or Modest Mouse? Modest Mouse is fairly well known and pretty awesome.
In addition:
No Children - The Mountain Goats
If you have ever been a jilted lover or spouse... take a listen. It's both funny and poignant at the same time. I'm liking a lot of the TMG stuff right now. Folksy and lyrically driven.

Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

Pink Floyd - "Shine On You Crazy Diamond"
And so the First denied their Mother,
in their fury, and so were cast out,
doomed children of Mother Dark.
