50 Cent - P.I.M.P

I admit to being a rap snob and never really listening to 50 because I thought he was a dick.

But he debut CD really is quite good.

I will grant you that In Da Club had an awesome beat, and was a pretty good song, but i've found his subsequent songs (that i've heard) to be clichéd, not to mention musically and lyrically uninteresting. I would use PIMP and Candy Store as the examples that spring to mind.

But I find it hard to like many rappers these days. I tend to prefer an MC or two, and a kick ass scratch artist.

But in the spirit of the old school, block party style of rap, how about

Maybe you shouldn't post after falling down some stairs, it makes you say funny things like:

I cannot imagine you having a straight face while saying that.

Anyway.

What I don't get, is you mock rap, then post saying you are listening to Opeth. Who happen to suck so much dick they got into the blow job hall of fame without staring in a porno.

I like me some instrumental rock songs every now and then, like Mogwai for instance. So here are a couple of other instrumental tracks.

BRITISH SEA POWER - Great Skua

and then

KINSKI - Semaphore
(you can download this track legally for free from their record label, subpop records).
http://www.subpop.co.../audio/2414.mp3

There's loads of free stuff on the subpop site, from some good bands too, like The Shins, Iron and Wine or Flight of the Conchords for example. Well worth checking out. Just go to the media section and pick a band and there will be links to a couuple of free mp3's by that band. Simple.
