I've read the Second Suns trilogy and liked it very much. Medalon looks good, anyone read it, liked it?

I've read the Second Sun trilogy and thought it was quite nice. Picked up and read the first Medallon book and didn't like it. So...

She wrote Second Suns after Medalon and the rest of its trilogy.

Yeah. I've read both- haven't read the last book of the Medalon trilogy, mainly because it's still out only in hardcover and, being unemployed... Yeah.

Anyway, Second Sons is definitely a tighter read than the Medalon series, and, reading the Medalon series, you can kind of see how certain aspects of plot remain (primarily: the egotistical main character hatching some complex-as-hell plan that'll eventually screw both the bad guys and the so-called good guys), but it's interesting enough that when Harshini comes out in paperback I'll definitely buy it.

But, yeah. Second Sons is better, but Medalon is pretty solid.

Just finished the Demon Child trilogy. Was ok for her first series I guess. The characterisation was a bit weak and superficial at times but the pacing and story was good enough to keep me going.

Yes I know. But I read them in the wrong order.

I read them, I wasn't a fan. Not enough sympathy for the main characters was my problem, I just didn't like them enough.
