I think Pats or Colts versus Green Bay in Super Bowl
What would be better than undefeated Pats versus Gutsy Favre in the SuperBowl?

if by classy you mean impregnating women and leaving them on their own then sure!
i give the jags better than 17 points, because they have a very solid chance of winning, not 50%, but definitely not to the point of losing by 17 points. i see a 1 possession game
san diego and indy depends on pressure. harrison may be back, but he hasnt played almost all year, and that does count for something. the key to the game will be in the trenches. if addai can run on the chargers in the first quarter it will open manning to throw later(chargers will play the pass aggressively, just like last time, until addai burns them. colts best gameplan needs to be addai first and manning second). if LT can run on the colts, the underneath passing game that the tampa 2 allows will allow the chargers to march down the field and punch it in on the ground. could go either way, and if gates is out for the game, ill give the colts a solid chance of victory, but if hes in its 50/50

You seriously think that is a valid reason? It isn't even cold for the games until NOVEMBER.
And it does get cold in the south. i'm from there. Last year I was at a UGA game and it was 28 degrees. Not frigid by any means but the temperature difference is not a good reason for why the BIG ten is getting DOMINATED.
I respectfully disagree with you

but it doesnt change the fact that you need to prepare for your homefield conditions, and that is what happens. the spread, run'n'shoot, and basic option game are difficult to run when the weather sours, and the weather has soured in some years in october rather than november. just like the chicago bears, you build the team the system to fit the worst conditions and go from there. if rich rodriguez implements the spread in michigan, harsh or early winter games are going to be harsh for michigan.

I know you guys are all haters but the Seahawks will prevail, should have beat Chicago in Chicago last year.
Would love the Giants win as it will give us the Homefield for the NFC Championship game, I doubt there will be more than a FG in it if the G-Men win. It would be great to see the Giants O-Line back at Qwest where they false started twice on the way out of the locker room ... bring it on !
Colts & Pats to win through in AFC.

I don't hate the seahawks...I just think Green Bay is a better all around team. One week Seattle looked great...the next they bombed and lost to a team they had no business losing to.
I will be AMAZED if Seattle wins, but it isn't impossible.
I mean it is the NFL...anything can happen.

My picks, for what its worth:
Green Bay over Seattle - Hawks are good but not on the Packers level
Dallas over New York G - although by all the gods I want it to be the other way around
New England all over Jacksonville - Jags can't hold back that offense
Colts over San Diego - it will be a thrilla but I think the Colts are peaking

I think Jacksonville is dangerous because they are really confident. They think they can beat the Pats. But I think NEngland has too much offense in the end.

defense wins championships though, and the jags have a good one. whoever has the better defense on gameday will win, the nature of the playoffs

Yeah, but A LOT of things have to go PERFECT for the Jags to win. They have to shut down Brady and put pressure on him. Rough of Welker to keep the short passes down. Double Team Moss...etc etc...but it CAN happen.

and you can really make the same argument for the pats. its not like they dont have to perform well to win. football requires execution, and execution isnt easy. they have to stop the gashing ability of taylor and drew and they have to make garrard make mistakes, both of which are things that rarely happened this year.
the pats will have to beat the jaguars, just like the jaguars will have to beat the pats. its not like the pats are dealt a royal flush every game, they have just executed enough to score more points, and the fact that not all of it was pretty shows that they aren't perfect at execution or head and shoulders better than the rest of the league

Perfect scenario, Patriots, Cowboys, and Seahawks all get stomped this weekend. I've got my fingers crossed and my cheesehead ready.

Garrard was forcing throws during the Steelers game. I saw four or five times when he tried to thread the gap to a receiver on a slant between a linebacker in a drop zone and a corner on the receiver's tail. It worked once or twice, but the others were either picked off or sailed high.
Honestly, I see New England blowing Jacksonville out of the stadium.
Packers should win in a close game. I dislike the Seahawks, although nobody can argue with the awesomeness of Lofa Tatupu.
I can't call the Dallas-Giants game because I'm somewhat of a Giants fan.

Dallas should win that game, although I heard a rumor TO was out for the season. If so, Giants have a chance, if the team plays as well as they did against the pats...

Bolts @ Colts; The Colts are quietly going to kick their asses.
That's my prediction and I'm sticking to it.

Wow...Seattle GOT OWNED.
Talk about momentum...it looked like Seattle was going to destroy Green Bay...until Brett Favre started playing.
Ryan Grant rushed for 200+....wow.
Seattle has to get a new running back and upgrade their O-Line...and beg Shaun Alexander to retire and give back some of that contract....what a terrible decision that was.

Favre: 3 time league mvp, holds most significant qb records, arguably the best ever, or at least top 5.
Hasselback: Is none of these things
Grant was only about 60 yards short of 1000, and he didn't start until about the 7th game of the season. Alexander is soft, overpaid, and well past his already overrated prime.
Packers have a better receivers, across the board. Defense is close, seattle is better vs the run, I would take the pack overall though.
All this considered, I'm not positive we'll win. i expect a close game, and I will be parading around Seattle in my cheesehead and packers clothes all day.

Nailed it! Except foor the close game part, but it doesn't hurt my feelings to be wrong about that. I thought we were doomed! It was a great game though, but once GB got clicking they were playing too well to lose. The snow was great.
Screw the Pats.

Congrats to the Pack, Favre was awesome and in Grant you had what we have needed all year a hard running halfback with a burst of speed.
Sadly with the conditions we never really got to see Hasselbeck take on your safeties deep and losing Branch early was another blow. It was always going to be the Seattle passing game that kept us in it. The conditions also negated both teams ability in the return game particularly punt returns which I thought would be a big advantage to us.
If the G-Men can pull off the upset today I think you have a great chance to reach the Super Bowl !
On the down side ..... Tom Brady & the Pats..... WOW

hutchinson and walter jones were the heart of the offense during alexanders good years, moreso than alexander or hasselbeck. jones is old and hutch was let go without even an attempt to bid for the contract. minnesota in the mean time is reaping the benefits and should be a playoff contender next year with their QB development this year to go with their running game
