he doesnt does he? I thought it was made up by someone cos no one has actually seen him? I thought maybe smiles made it up. Just a thought it may be obvious to every one else but some confirmation would be nice

I'm pretty sure that he was made up. Whenever someone reports a sighting of Nefarious Bredd, the chain of whispers always leads back to Smiles. It was just something to keep them occupied on the long, pre-Y'Ghatan march. We didn't see him during the Y'Ghatan siege, where I assume he would have showed up (I believe we hear the names of all the soldiers who survive the tunnel journey...)

I'd say that he is real, just not the towering monstrosity he's made out to be. That, or a woman who matches the reputation. Being imaginary would be too easy.

Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

Seriously, no, I don't think he does. Its just something that smiles is doing to the female heavies.

(why don't I capitalize smiles, you might ask? because I hate her!)

Well, there were a fair number of Meanas mages in the 14th. Could be that any 'sighting' of him was just an illusion. :)

I think it'a a long held military tradition to create mythological soldiers who do it all, win it all, beat everyone, etc.

That said until this thread was created I didn't even remember the guys name. This in my mind makes him made up, clearly, since my memory is unquestonable. I think I have to give the HoC and BH a new run through...

It IS a funny notion that they have made up this uber soldier who just does it all, all the time. Even funnier if somewhere down the road he shows up and just kicks the ass of some major player on the other side like Rhulad.

So the general consensusis he doesnt exist but we all seem to like the idea hell turn up reconquer Lether on his own (with a pitch fork and a piece of chalk) and then change the attitude of the letherii ppl along with dispatching the peasant army thats about to conquer the Wickans. Then goes to the Phoenix inn and has a cool pint with Coll.

Or you know whatever

Nefarious Bredd - might basically translate to "raised wicked", so yeah he's made up. Or he's Pust's mule. One of those two.
