Our list is:
Grub
Temul
Nil
Neither
Kettle

I would like to add others but those are the only ones i can be pretty sure about. Any other proven survivals?

Good call on Trull ascending to something shadowy, he is very 'isolated' now so makes a good ascendant.

I agree Rake could go, but i also see him as having a bigger living burden... Like the Gladiator.. i hated him dying cause that is what he wanted, the sad ending would have been him struggling on... Rake being forced to live with his remnants is worse. BUT Silchase is far more likely to survive, he was just inprisioned for a long time

Why is Kettle on the list?

It may be that she's 'supposed' to sit on a healed Throne of Shadow, but we don't actually know that will happen.

In fact, think about it a little further and aside from Gammet's 'i'm-dying-and-having-visions-and-ooo-look-an-elephant!' moment, only Grub is definitively due to stay alive into the indeterminate future. His language and the chapter opener could be coincidence or deliberate mislead.

- Abyss, misled.

I reckon Kallor survives, i just think the srength of his curse is stronger than any desire for vengence, Dragnipur can't contain him because that has to be broken, maybe an Azath??? But he needs some form of everlasting torment, or he escapes revenge and lives to fight another day. Although i can really imagine the crone eating his liver everyday for eternity, just something that came to mind, after all, he like prometheus defied the Gods it would be poetic

Okay so loads of characters are killed in RG...

So it dosn't necessary mean that we will never see them again..

The Bridgeburners, apart from our friends at K'ruls Bar, are all dead. Dosn't stop them playing a part in HoC and BH.

Trake gets it from the Lizards..... Next minute, he's the God of War.

So being killed off may not be the nailing down of the coffin lid as we may suspect.

What could be a topic of discussion is whom do we think may ascend upon their removal from the mortal coil?

Yeah, a trend i noticed aswell, but considering that if Heborics predictions are correct a number of Gods may be removed the number of ascendents is quite reasonable considering... although i for one want epic tragedy and more pointless deaths all round

I want trull to kick Rhulads ass

I don't think that's possible anymore. Maybe he could have been a bit of a match by the end of Midnight Tides (maybe), but that was even earlier than GotM. Remember, Iron Bars said that a few months of the sword in his hands and he could match Skinner. And IB didn't know that Rhulad has gained power outside human proportions. So I wouldn't consider him an actual mundane fighter anymore, and if you ask me, he's probably going to shock us all and actually be able to match/beat Icarium at full rage (Iccy wasn't even at full rage when Trull barely fended him off).

@ Maknavox:
My mistake. Though "wiped out" could have just meant what Kilmandaros did to Scabby. Still, you're right though, because Cotillion at the beginning of BH contemplates killing an elemental force.

Honestly not sure why Kettle was added, but several other people seemed to think strongly on the matter. Could someone speak up on why Kettle wont be killed off?

I know that SE and ICE both have favourite characters. Does this keep them 'safe'? I would wager not. So to answer the original question -- No one is safe. No one.

Safe for the remainder of these 10 books. I know they will kill what they like in the long run.

I think all the former BBs are going to die, with Paran or Fiddler being the last to go down (meaning this can't happen til book 8 at the earliest, since that is our next trip to Daru). Once they all die, there will be some sort of new layer to the Tanno Spiritwalker song, and the last book will feature the ascended unit fighting the armies of the CG. Or something.

Anyway, I have a hunch that QB is the next BB to fall--after picking up the soul of the Ceda and killing off all the Edur. Or something.

Well, the Eres herslf helped make Kettle, that's a strong point... allthough I still don't believe she's as powerful as people think.

Kettle posses the spirit(heart?) of a Forkrul Assail and I think something else if I'm not mistaken. FA's are not very nice creatures and notoriously hard to kill.

And lastly, unless a lot has changed, like Silverfox in her youth had protectors so has Kettle. Silchas Ruin is perhaps the most badass we've yet to see fight.

Tehol will make it. So will the Eres. Maybe Havoc the horse. Everyone else is toast, potentially.

one of the things in reaper's is kettle's 'other' nature ... and of course all i'll say about it is that it was a BIG surprise and that it was WAY cool ...

Ah, of course. I think Kettle gets a pass on similar grounds. And I think Silchas Ruin will survive - I don't see all three Andii brothers dying in the series, and if I had to choose between Rake and Ruin for a glorious tragic death...

Agreed, though if rake dies, he wont be going down without a fight, the weird thing for me is, if we look at MT, an avowed has all the trouble he can handle with the 5, Ruin says he does passably well while finishing off the rest, straight after incarceration, it's a long shot, but Rake is probably roundabout the same effiacy, so Rake is real trouble, and then Dasseem can take out all avowed apart from one, who escaped. anyway you know what i mean

I'm confused.

Explain why Rake being as good as Ruin makes Dassem able to take out every Awoved including Skinner and Blues? I'll agree that he has a real chance of winning such fights but what does that have to do with Rake and Ruin?

there is no such thing as immortality in MBotF. not for rake, not for silchas, not for dassem. if it's their time, it's their time, and may be removed from the 'board' by either se or ice, as is necessary for the story. take the one who dies at the end of rg for instance ...

Pallor, for this tidbit, i'll temporarily not demand your brainz.

Kettle... which means... Silchas... which means Fear, Udinaas, Seren, Wither and the Wyval...

*dies of joy* (again, temporarily)

Hey, is it just me, or does 'Wither and the Wyval' sounds like a 60s progrssive folk rock band...?

- Abyss, thinks it's probably just me.
