Or at least, my one does, so I assume the rest will. Dunno how long it will last, so...

My purchases:
Vellum, by Hal Duncan,
Memory, Sorrow, and Thorn, Book 1, by Tad Williams,
Smoke and Mirrors, by Neil Gaiman.

I wanted to get lies of Locke Lamora, but I didn't have enough on me. :)

Anyway... get going. >_>

I wish they did the same for hardcover editions.
It is only for paperbacks, correct?

No, all as in absolutely everything, I'm pretty sure, including comics and probably manga too.
You might want to check, because I'm sure I saw the stickers on hardbacks too.

I believe it's all SF&F. But you obviously only get the cheapest one free. I got Thousandfold Thought, Lies of Lock Lamora and Temeraire (2 paperbacks and 1 hardback)

Not only is it all SF&F, it's on all their Crime fiction too.
If an opinion contrary to your own makes you angry, that is a sign that you are subconsciously aware of having no good reason for thinking as you do. If some one maintains that two and two are five, or that Iceland is on the equator, you feel pity rather than anger, unless you know so little of arithmetic or geography that his opinion shakes your own contrary conviction. … So whenever you find yourself getting angry about a difference of opinion, be on your guard; you will probably find, on examination, that your belief is going beyond what the evidence warrants. Now, if I only had money...
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

Yeah, I was in Waterstone's in Newcastle the other day, and they had it on all the sf/f and all the manga, graphic novels, and so forth. I almost took advantage of the offer, then decided I didn't need three more books on my pile.

Off topic, but I must register a complaint with SM's sig. Ever since I read it I've had "The Humpty Dance" going through my head over and over again.

Yeah I called ya fat - look at me, I'm skinny.
It never stopped me from gettin' busy.
I'm a freak. I like the girls with the boom.
I once got busy in a Burger King bathroom.

I'm crazy. Allow me to amaze thee.
Ya say I'm ugly but it just don't faze me.
I'm still gettin' in the girls pants
And now I got my own dance...

It must be 15 years since I've heard that and it's shocking how much I remember...
OK, I think I got it, but just in case, can you say the whole thing over again? I wasn't really listening.

Been there today.
Unfortunately, they had no fantasy hardback in the store. Only Phantom by T.G. and it was not 2 for 3 but had only £4 off. I think we have a small branch in the town. Not too many bright folks around here probably :) I remember visiting Waterstones in Brighton - WOW. That was big as well as another shop nearby, I don't remember the name. Heck, evem Milton Keynes has a bigger store.
So, I will have to stick to Amazon. Thanks for alert anyway. There are a few paperbacks that I want, maybe I will go tomorrow and find them.

Yep, you have to love the 3 for 2 offers, took advantage of this and got:

Lies of Locke Lamora by Scott Lynch
The Man in the High Castle by Phillip K Dick
Devil Delivered by Steven Erikson

Three damned good books!

Books are so damn expensive in the UK and the rest of Europe. Can you believe that even though this deal is sweet, you are still paying more than you'd pay in Canada.

I stopped complaining about the price of books when I found myself on the other side of the pond for the first time!:)

So take advantage of that special, all of you!!!

Does the same thing apply as with games, where things sometimes cost the same amount of pounds as they do dollars?
Because that's really annoying. It's actually cheaper to import DS games from the US than it is to buy them in a shop here sometimes

Devil Delievered? In Waterstones?

I know, was quite suprised myself, soon as I saw it I picked it up so no other malazanite could sneak in and steal it, there was a copy of the HD there as well, the big Waterstones in Manchester if anyones interested and it's not been snapped up, was a few weeks back.

Hmm. I think I will check the Waterstones in Amsterdam tomorrow...

Which, conveniently, is close to the American Book Center where I usually buy my books...

Speaking of ABC, they have been selling the TOR Malazan Hardcovers for cheap prices. If you find $12 cheap. :)

Either its over, or the store at the MetroCentre in Gateshead isn't taking part. Very few on offer.
