I agree with the scottie lass... don't buy him a holiday present, sent him to a dungeon with a couple of sheets of paper, a quill, and some blood, and make him WRITE THE DAMN THING!!!!

I was checking out the Westeros site and they are collecting cash to buy him a 'Holiday Gift', not only that they do it yearly. Are they insane

It's amazing to see what a bunch of morons post here. Martin is a fat bastard, his fans are insane because they're still loyal to him, man what a screwed up world do some people here live in.

No wonder most of the posters who were around in the beginning have left this place.

Oh my, the poor bastard. I'd feel more sympathetic for him if I knew he wasn't taking the time to filter through the 500 emails he receives every day to reply to any that might infringe on his copyrights.

from Goodkind's website:

quote:
Well Debt of Bones was released today in paperback in the US.

And Today they are all being recalled and destroyed.

Seems TOR messed up.

On the copyright page of the book it says

I'd send tell him that, though I can only find his mailing address, and I can't be bothered to walk down to the postbox and mail him the letter, though if anyone else wants to, send it here:

Truckers. And I admit it was a fair while ago, so I may be willing to try again. I just got really bored. Course, now I believe that absolutely nothing can match up to SE, so I might have a hard time finding anything I like anymore... perhaps I have gone too far into the wonderful world of Malazan.

Perhaps a CD titled "Songs of Ice and Fire" or a series called "A song of Fire and Ice" Lets really annoy him people, like he annoyed us by keeping a Feast For Crows away from us for so long!

@Tiste Simeon:

What Mith meant is that you have single handedly destroyed this forum.

The funny thing is, it's all true!

From his website:

from Mystic Spiral Traders

Please read the news below!
If you've already read it since November 17, here's the Order Form.

Mystic Spiral Traders reopens November 20

I've just shaken off several months of inactivity and frustrating behind the scenes computer problems and personal demands that caused MST to grind to a halt. My deepest apologies to my customers.

One large problem I have is that my files are pretty much trashed, and I would appreciate customers resending me a copy of their original orders, PAY PAL info etc. It would speed the process of getting out orders and rebuilding the order files. I've got a brand new pristine HD just for MST orders, and the sooner I get needed information on outstanding orders, the faster I can get to shipping.

Most customers can expect a thank you gift, a refund of shipping fees or other compensation for the delays in shipping orders.

Once again, thank you for your support and your patience.

Now, I've got 10 dozen new shirts and t-shirts to prep for shipping, and will be doing some other updates to the pages in the next couple of weeks. So I hope you all have a great weekend, and a happy Thanksgiving.

Peace, Love, Light to Gaia and all the Beings who dwell upon Her,

Parris McBride
Proprietor, Mystic Spiral Traders

He was telling the truth - lol an author selling T-shirts.

George still hasn't replied to my follow up questions, but maybe it will take him a while to draft the perfect response. For some reason my email must be given Mr. Martin particular difficulty:

Woops! Would you sign the shirts if they were spelled with two Ts? Instead of Westeros, I'll spell it Westteros. Or maybe I could spell it Westeroes. I'm open to suggestions.

Anyway, where do I send the shirts?

I wonder if Mr E. will endorse and arrange publication of my new book "Lighthouse Doors". A tale of the Amazon book of the stumbled.

I'll then agree not to sue him over twisting my ankle on an archaeological dig he told me to go on (or did I dream it?? - well it'll hold up in court Posted Image)

or how about you tell Georgi that you write a book named "the song of Ice and fire" or "another song of ice and fire" ... i mean his series is only "a song of ice and fire" after all Posted Image
Or in the vein of all those cd-things you could write a book named "the best of song of ice and fire" Posted Image
