Being dealt the Herald of Death doesn't mean a particular association with the position itself - it means that you are going to have a brush with death soon, as both QB and Kalam shortly did.

Well, I interpreted that as one of them is going to die. Both are still between life and death. Pretty sure RG will be bad news to some. That I HATE PORMQUAL guy is going to be pretty pissed.
And why would he try to kill him 20 times and now he has the chance, he'd let him run? In the end he just questions Tays about their allegiance. No word on healing QB, he even accuses Tays of scheming to take over the empire with D'rek.

Why didn't Shadowthrone or Cotillion take aby notice of him while they controlled Sorry? Why no recognition until he paid a visit to the Shadowkeep?
Why didn't Shadowthrone try to do something with him when they had their little banquet in the Imperial Warren (Shadowthrone was there, invisible)?
ST might find him irritating, he might lose it a little whenever he's reminded that Ben has outsmarted him more than once. But most of the time, when he's deep in his plots, I think he sees Ben as too useful to be killed. In any case, pulling him in at the First Throne to face Icarium was payback. They're even.

Something entirely different. Fid hands the Weaver of Life to bottle's empty chair, saying she needs a bath. I felt like this was a reference to the Eres and bottle's "tie" with her. Might the Eres be weaver of life, with her timetravelling abilities?
Agayla is the Weaver of Life ... there's evidence in NoK..

That explains why bottle gets the card anyway. NoKless for the moment though.

ooh... I was so sure it was the Eres - it fit pretty well. Ok, I think I'll rob a bank and buy NoK with the money.
