Any idea why this name was chosen for the first quarter?

The CG. Easy. Sticking his fingers in every pie going.
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

Shadowthrone, since he's getting a reputation for meddling and manipulation even among other gods and Quick Ben.
I can't carry it for you, but I can carry you.

How many Bridgeburners ascended, anyway?

Just kidding. It's probably Shadowthrone.

Well, seeing as ST is more active in the first quarter, I'll agree.

St is getting transparant because he uses some essence of himself for every finger he got in someone elses pie.

ST does like to get involved in a lot of things, it does make sense that it would be him...

I'd had a thought it might be D'rek, but there's not really anything to back that up.

Funny...I was wondering that just last night. Edgewalker came to mind though

My guess was that Kilmandaros was Burn, so...

It's pretty open to interpretation, non?

The CG, ST, D'rek and Poliel are all clear and present influences. COuld be any of them, really.

- Abyss, merely a ten-fingered god.

I doubt it's D'rek. The title "The Thousand Fingered God" only came after the prologue, when the whole priesthood was slaughtered, and mention of D'rek (focused mention, not slightly offhand mention) only came about in Book 4.

Apsalar, since she is close to ascension and she's an assassin/rogue character so she'd probably make a handy thief, thieves enjoy a good four-fingered discount and obviously a thief god would be many hundreds of times better than that...

What?

There's a passage where Paran talks to ST via the Deck, when he's about to free the five DoDs. and in the end of the conversation the card gets filled with ST's fingers, more than the normal ten if I remember right. just a thought.

@Tiste Simeon - In MT, it's made pretty clear that Kilmandaros is/was female (as gods go :)).
