At the end of BH we see Shadowthron walk over to QB, but we do not see a healing. Then, when Tavore makes it back to the ship, they tell her that QB has been lost.

We know that Shadowthroen would have liked to take revange on QB, so did he honestly heal the wizard? I doubt it. I think that QB is in the Azath (Deadhouse) right next to Kalam.

No wonder Shadowthrone thinks that his collection is impressive.

but QB never received a mortal wound did he? I just don't see where this suspicion is coming from I must admitt.

QB didn't seem to be in a very good state but he certainly didn't appear to be mortally wounded. While I can see the where this suspicion may have arisen from I'd be very surprised to find out that had happened.
However the idea of ST's collection is very interesting, cos the only ones I can think of at the Deadhouse are Kalam and Dassem's daughter, both of whom appear to have been mortally injured. I was also curious to see Shadowthrone appeared pretty reluctant to get too close to the door of the Deadhouse. Does this mean that since ascending he no longer has access to the Azath Houses? Can't recall any suggestion of him going inside since then. It's also mentioned that they gave up on their idea of controlling the Azath for something much grander, which needed them to ascend first.

Easy,
look at the cards - Quick Ben was not cold, so he lives for a while at least, and is holding the last card in this game.

I got the sense that Shadowthrone wanted to avoid contact with the Deadhouse's guardian(s). Hence his hestitation to linger at the door, and his recrimination of those dragging Kalam to the door to "stay on the path!".

It also felt like veering off the path led to a rsik of both waking the prisoners and being taken by the Azath.

Shadowthron has always wanted to kill QB. Why not do it right there and then while QB was weak and hurt? It seems perfect.

Is shadowthrone truly wanted QB dead and gone, I have little doubt he could have accomplished it some time ago. He holds QB in the palm of his hand now, and the mage is to valuable a resource to kill..

You're forgetting the comment Shadwthrone makes about the es'rshal (sp!) healing of Iccy...something about it healing Onrack and it being a shame it did not reach 'here' (I don't have my book to hand atm to give you the exact quote). As the T'lann was further away from iccarium than QB, I imagine that he was healed as well *shrugs*

Wasn't that Cotillion?

In any event, QB was injured for sure. He was bleeding was he not? When Icarium threw back his sorcerous attack, QB was hurt. I don't think he's dead though.

Heck....I don't even think Tene Beralta is dead! Never mind Lostara's neck tie... ah well.

Funny, I thought the reference to the healing sorcery was to the rest of Minala's children, Monok Ochem (himself) and the Tiste Andii spy. Pretty impressive when you think about it...the Eres can 'heal' T'lan Imass!!!

Yeah, but... that's a woman's arm Onrack has. What if he's healed to flesh? He's going to look pretty silly.
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

I dont think they had a feud at all, if they did neither cared much about it.

I think the feud, if there was one, came from the fact that QB enjoys twisting gods around, and is too smart for their (the gods) own good. And he is still alive, he was just covered in his own blood, only a flesh wound, u know, and beside Trull for sure made ST heal the mage who saved his and everyone else's life until Eresal could intervene.

No I Dont Think Qb Is Dead Either, Although St Hate Him I Dont Think That He Would Kill A Possible Strong Ally In The Mortal World, He Is More Of An Annoyance Than An Enemy, He Put Qb There To Teach Him A Lesson.

I think ST really likes QB and visa versa. They love to winde each other up and try to beat each other but in the end they are fighting for the same cause and besides QB's best friend Kalam is strongly linked to the house of shadow.

I remember Apsalar thinking that Kalam and Quick Ben will end up surprising everyone at the end, I'm assuming she means when the final battle happens between the CG and the rest. Therefore I think they will both live at least till book 10.

As to Dessem's Daughter being in Deadhouse, is it possible that she could have been at the edge of death, but was put in Deadhouse before she died completely?

on the reason that Shadowthrone is all weird about approaching too close to the Deadhouse, could it have something to do w/what he & Dancer found out while researching the Azath? Supposedly they knew more than anyone else about them, had tons of arcane knowledge relating to the Azath. Maybe Shadowthrone knows, for instance, it's SUPER easy to get lost in there, or that the realm of shadow is somehow ... shielded and he'd pop out of existence or any other random fact that i have no clue about, but that's why he didn't want to go in. or maybe he just doesn't like bhok'arala (Moby is still now the guardian of the Deadhouse, right? Am I totally misremembering the end of DHG?).

Moby was accepted by Tremorlor, the Azath at the end of the fake Path of Hands. The Deadhouse has its own guardian - who you will encounter if you read further into the Malazan universe (hint: in a non-Erikson book).
