good things all around, actually

first off, yes, I mean the unpopular game known as volleyball.

okay, being clear now, let's go
World League. 4th place. best we ever did in the World League.
we could even reach the final but while winning 2-0 and winning 22-17 in the 3rd set... like if someone tucked a switch. we lost. geez.
same goes for the 3rd place match. oh well. still great.

now, World Champs qualifications. after 2 matches we're through. 3-1 with Estonia (yeah, I know, that one lost set is embarrassing) and 3-1 with Bulgaria. still to play with Russia, but we'll wtfpwn them Posted Image

Van der Sar has a hell of a lot of experience though, and is solid enough. Although, its going to be ages 'til you get another Peter Schmeichel.

Am I the only one who thought the penalty for Liverpool's third was won by a dive?
Oh, and the second should never have been but for the dozy ref not stopping the game for offside.
And, and I might be in the minority here, I feel goalkeeping antics like that are unsporting. I mean, isn't it illegal for the outfield playing to dummy their shot to make the goalkeeper dive first? Whats the difference?

Milan were robbed, pure and simple. But I don't expect many Liverpool fans to agree with me. But then, maybe they're biased.

Ahhh Michael Clarke, Damien Martyn and Simon Katich. Thanks for having us at Lords guys, its been fun and we love to pla- win here. And of course, Pigeon's 500th wicket was a nice highlight too.

Milan were pretty poor that first leg. They admitted as much themselves in the after match conference. But, in the end of the day, they are displaying a killer touch this season. They are winning the games they shouldn't. Plus, consider what they will do to PSV if they hit form in the return leg. When they play well, they are very impressive.
Celtic did well against them bith legs. But Celtic can be quite a hard nut to crack. *starts sobbing when memories of last week flood back* Still, thank **** for hibs. Will Celtic hold their bottle? Will the Gers blow it tomorrow and make Celtic's slip-up meaningless? I think this season has a bit to go yet, but I'm still not confident. Depends when that bloody Welshman comes back from injury. Ahem, moving right along...anyone watching the Confed Cup?

We gave those Krauts a right scare, 4-3 hah! And it took a very dodgy penalty and some slack, slack defending for Germany to score. How awesome did Brazil look against Greece? Adriano goal and Juninho's free-kick were fantastic...Van der Sar as our goal-keeping solution? Hmmm I don't know. Can't be worse than Roy Carroll, though.

I was impressed with PSV and especially in the second half when they had a go. You see this is exactly what Celtic did in the qualifying games when they went to the San Siro and should have got at least a draw. Milan are good but they are there for the taking.
