Mal that doesn't stop them trying to screw with the keeper by changing the pace of their run up does it, swings and roundabouts its only fair the keeper can get them back.

I'm suprised you didn't mention him being three or four feet off his line for the first two penalties when they were struck . . . .

Cheery Scots aside, well won Liverpool they deserved it, and apparently they get to keep the cup nowthey've won it five times Posted Image

Bah.

And you're right, Bellamy is a very good player. Idiot SournessPosted Image
Mind you, I'd imagine he'd be pretty difficult to get along with... especially when he doesn't get what he wants.

Hmm... difficult... but I'll go with Boro (sorry brood...)

Anyone else think that Malcolm Glazer looks like how you imagined Kruppe to look?

Speaking whereof, Keano and Fergie have had a bust-up reportedly, and thats why he isn't in the squad for the Asia tour. Something about his family coming to the Portugal training camp. Could be a story to watch.

nothing in it i reckon, too much mutual respect for there to be a problem.

watched smithy in keano's position against hong kong, very surprised as he played there like its where he's always played, be interesting to see in the premiership...

I rate Schmeichel as the greatest 'keeper I have ever seen- there is no one in the modern game who can replace him. Not Buffon, not Dida, not Casillas...no one. I guess van der Sar is not a bad signing but not one for the long term...

Ahh, sorry Dagger. They call it The World Game for a reason...

Out of them

N'Zogbia is average to poor
Taylor is promising but needs someone with an ounce of talent to mentor him (we don't have anyone!)
Milner is a good player
Shola Ameobi is not quite there.
Jenas thinks he's a superstar (ie. better than he actually is) if he kept it simple he would be a good player.

I'm holding out on West Brom staying up, supported them all of last season and they managed it.

I'm inclined to believe its more the bastard agents that extort money out of clubs. Though, some of the players are robbing bastards.

Too early for mePosted Image Otherwise I definately would be. I'm intruiged to find out how the Jones/Wilkinson Right foot/Left foot combination will work. It's better work well to justify leaving out Henson though, otherwise Woodward will get crucifiedPosted Image

Yeah, but we paid so much for him and we're rubbish without him, that he has us over a barrel. F*cker.

Fergie's last chance this season I reckon. The man is going stale in his safe job...

Damnit, I hate play-offs. Third year in a row we get in and third year in a row we get beaten. Bloody Southend.

I agree to a certain point, but it infuriates me when Ferdinand plays these games, after all that Utd have done for him.

Ferguson hasn't bought many new players because there is nothing inherently wrong with United's squad for this season. And you buy young goalkeepers as a long term thing, give it five years and Foster will be good enough to play first team. Besides, he can hardly go out and pay over £15 million for a top midfielder given all the debt that American has piled on the club.
