Johnny Herbert!!! I thought he was great, just the way he muddled on even though he was the unluckiest driver I've ever seen in F1. Plus coming back from that insane accident he had. Power to Herbert. :p

Yeah Jaques is in my appreciative book too, like Irvine and Schumacher. Entertaining personalities.

@kettle :p haha I seem to be missing some of the convo though. Gothos doesn't have the beginning of it and I lost my original version. :p

speaking of DC doing stupid stuff...remember when he drove into the wall while coming into the pits? LMAO I will never get over Murray Walker's reaction to that happening "And into the the pits comes David...OHHHHHH...David Coulthard, I have, I have never seen that before. He comes into the the pitlane and into the WALL!"

thought I'd post this as I thought it was funny....

Aguri’s Imola update....

Leafield, Tuesday. Following his many off-track moments in Melbourne, the Aguri Honda team are set to introduce an update to help Yuji Ide master the tricky Imola circuit.

While team-mate Takuma Sato has a rough working knowledge of which way the track goes, Ide does not have the benefit of such experience.

Said a team spokesman today: ‘In order to help Yuji, we had a bash at the tried and tested method of teaching him the Imola track using a Playstation 2, but sadly the ‘ghost car’ kept distracting him and he could get no further than turn three before crashing’.

So, for the next round of the World Championship, Aguri will install on Ide’s car a top notch Sat-Nav system to guide our man round the track.

The system has a double benefit, in that if the car should stop out on the circuit it will also play DVD’s and MP3’s, thus keeping the stranded driver amused.

While the team are confident that this is a major step forward, initial testing of the device at Silverstone proved tricky when it sent Yuji off the track, out of the main gates and straight down the A43 to Stoney Stratford.

my god....do you know how far I had to go to find this thread...page 3, yes PAGE 3!!!....shame on you Kallor, BAD and Jen :)

I'd have thought Jen would be running around like a mad man, what with Schummi getting pole and claiming another record by taking his 66th pole...

I was pleased to see Barrichello up there in 3rd place, hopefully he is finally coming to grips with the Honda, though yet again we had to listen to the commentators wet themselves over Button :p :p

It looks like the McLarens and Alonso are running heavy for a long first stint, so all in all it's shaping up to be a good race *crosses fingers* roll on tomorrow....

I was running and screaming esp after Massa bumped Mr.Cocky down to 5th place on the grid:D Though I had to leave after qual this morning so couldn't get on here to do a little bit of bragging and such. Though as always hope is kept to a bare minimum the memories of Australia are still fresh in my mind and my not so aching hand:p

It was a good qual though enjoyed it. It awesome watching Michael go fastest in the 2nd heat on his first lap and just sit and watch:p Then in 3rd he only set 2 fast laps which was awesome as he'll have a bit more fuel on board for tommorow:D Now if he can keep the honda's at bay at the start, I'd say victory is in the bag, but the question remains...can the Honda's and Massa keep Alonso behind them

But...Im not all that happy to be honest. Still goes to show Michael is God but there is only so much even a God can do if the car refuses to stick to the ground. We should hold Bridgestone engineers at gun-point until they start to perform

Well, Alonso has 36/40... Who you're calling God, again? But, I must admit he got pwned by Michael just the way he pwned him last year...
Too bad about Fisico scoring only 1...
This seems some kind of a graphicon for alonso in 06

Bahrein 1
Malazyia 2
Australia 1
San Marino 2
Nurburgring (1) heheh:clap:

:)
And one by one the gardens died

There was not ownage involved in this race. Any other track and Alosno would've gotten past Michael during the 2nd stint of the race, yes Alonso would've had to have reached very far up his ass to get past Michael, but he would've managed it sooner or later. That said, any other driver in front of Alonso would probably have fallen victim to him and only Schumacher or Kimi could've managed such a race. It was AWESOME how Michael just kept backing him up, even when he had the speed to go faster towards the end of the 2nd stint. Renault panicked in that moment as the other cars were beginning to catch up and pitted Alonso effectively losing the race.

Still if this is the best race Bridgestone is supposed to have...I'd say Renault and Alonso have the championship in the bag. We just have to PRAY that McLaren gets their act together and Bridgestone can respond otherwise we should probably just crown Alonso champion now

well twas a good race methinks, great racing by Schumacher, just what we need to keep the championship alive, though like you Jen I'm PRAYING for McLaren to come good...

well what about Honda, technically it wasn't Buttons fault, as the lollipop man lifted too soon, but having the thing crashed down on yer head immediately after should have given him some warning something was wrong!! meh!! maybe I'm being too harsh, but I get so sick of the "we love Button" brigade harping on about him as if he was in the same class as Schumacher and Alonso, and poor Barrichello had a bad pit stop with a fuel rig failure which after a promising start left him without points...

what are they going to do about Ide? personally I don't think he has any place on the F1 grid, in a sport that showcases the finest driving talents, there shouldn't be any need for paying drivers like Ide, he's not good enought for F1, yet again harsh words, but who or what is he going to hit next?

well onto the Nurburgring next....

Ta for the help. :D

But I got the race of someone else on another forum. I can't tell you how good it was seeing the Schumi jump on the podium and the conducting to the Italian Anthem. :D I'm sure he get's "told off"/fined for doing that.

well those prayers didn't work Jen, I think your gonna have to sacrifice something next quali :)

well that was an interesting qualifying, what with the mysterious red flag incident to Fisi losing it with Jaques for holding him up on his flying lap, he's now calling for Jaques to be punished, which I think is taking it a bit far as traffic is always a problem in the last few minutes of qualifying, and poor old Jaques had his best qualifying for a long time with 8th place...

well done to Barrichello, out qualifying Button for 4th place, lets hope the team/car don't let him down this time!

@ BAD, sorry I didn't see your cry for help, but I didn't tape the race anyway, so I wouldn't have been of any help :D

Jaques got punished...thats bs...pure and complete bs. It's not JJ's fault Fisi is an idiot for a driver. Did anyone else notice him punching the air when he got into the top 10 in Q2 and then promptly losing it:p Seriously...who punches the air when you get into the top 10...in 10th place at that. If it was like 1st I'd understand...bah...

But God would've been where he belongs had it not been for traffic, we never saw a clear run on TV but as far as I know on the start of each lap he encountered some traffic. Although can anyone explain why Alonso so was out there burning fuel for two extra laps?

ps...This is Odd...I swear I read somehwere JJ got punished before I made this post. Said news article is nowhere to be found now

YAS! Another win for Schumi. :D Though it's gonna be a hard slog to catch up to Mr Consistant points scorer. Though the constructers championship should be a little easier to get back into what with the "perenial loser" (as my housemate calls him) Fisichella in Renaults second seat. Seriously, him and Montoya just seem to have lost "it" when compared to the other drivers in their respective teams.

Class race from Rosberg. Though I don't know why they went to a two stop strategy after that huge thirty-three lap first stint. Surely they could have just done the same strategy for the second half and done a one stop race. Then he would have finished fifth maybe even higher (though doubtful).

made me laugh in the pre-race build-up how boring Alonso is as a World Champion. Them showing him signing someones stuff and then rushing off not even uttering a single word to them. :) And likewise "Maybe even Mr. Dennis will show up to the parties one of these days." when they were talking to the Redbull guys.

All in all a nice weekend. Gogogogogogogo Ferrari!!!

brilliant drive, jacques...oh yeah, and well done michael...this is turning out to be a great season...i am also glad to see barrichallo finally come to grips with the honda, as he seems to haveslipped into a 'second-seat' role at honda and i think he deserves better...button may be able to drive a f1 car fast, but he is no racer. barcelona will be a michelin track so watch out schui fans (yes, you, jen)

ps...pitpass.com listed jacques punishment, though it's interesting that the stewards punished him 'even though it appears that villeneuve was unaware of fisichella was coming up behind him'.

Stupid move by Williams there, sad though because Nico drove an AWESOME race. Next big star in F1 for sure.

As for the race, I seriously think that Michael and Ferrari played Renault again. If I'm not mistaken, and we'll be able to confirm it once the pit stop times are posted, the 1st stops Michael and Alonso were stationary for pretty much the exact time. So for Michael to have pulled out what 4 extra laps before the 2nd stops meant they had more fuel in the car, as predicted before the start of the race. That's just plain brilliant...BRILLIANT...only God, only God...*runs around screaming* ALL HAIL SCHUMACHER!!

@Kallor - what was that you said? He was going to burn? huh? huh?...
Ah you posted while I was posting...but Spain is very much a Schumacher track as well Kallor. What is it 6wins, 1 2nd, 2 3rd's...awesome stats I'd say;)
