I feel I should say something here, so...
Today is my anniversary and for the first time in 11 years my wife and I are not together for it. For reasons of necessity and logistics she is in another country today and although we will be together tomorrow... Well, you can imagine...
But who should come to my rescue on this lonely, grey day?
My other love, The Fallen of the Malazan Empire! I am sooo "rapt" (Australia term for exited to the point of explosion) to be honoured so by the panel, in light of such varied and worthy entries, I have almost forgotten about being home alone.
It was good to read other people entries, it takes a effort like that to see how much things mean to you sometimes. I think it must have been good for everyone who wrote something, and all those who read them.
Here's to the end to The Bonehunters and to the beginning of Reaper's Gale!!!!
.....and like that... He was gone.

So two more are soon going to join the select ranks of those who can taunt us with there extra knowledge!
Well done to all the entrants, there was some very good stuff written by all. And special congratulations to the winners... I'm so jealous!
For those of you who are interested the winning entries in the writing thread are post 10 and 17, at the bottom of page 1 and around the middle of page 2.

Easy. My reading speed is somewhat at, with a paperback of MOI's page size and wordcount per page, 100-120 pages an hour, and I class myself as slightly above average. He could blaze through that (as I will) in about 10 hours. Course, he's not going to give it away that easily...
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.
