Same here with vector calc, although aerodynamics has to wait till next sem. VC is alright, I certainly prefer it to statistics and numerical methods.

EDIT: Oh yeah, and I'm reading Dashiell Hammett's 'The Glass Key'.

Anyway, i finished Slaughterhouse Five. Mezla>> Doesnt live up to the hype. Still not bad, and its very readable so if you get stuck with something else...

Also finished The Crow Road (which was very good) and A Song of Stone (which wasnt quite as good) by Iain Banks.

Conqueror's Moon, by Julian May. Seems rather tyical, but with interesting differences in tone. I THINK I will like it, and it seems to have good female characters so far.

Yeah, but often in fantasy the magic on both sides just seems to cancel itself out, like at Pale, leaving good 'ol hand-to-hand combat. Which is often not like the combat in medieval times.

Welcome. Martin's one of my favorite authors. A Clash of Kings is the worst of the first three, in my opinion, but still good (Davos is boring). A Storm of Swords is my favorite - great ending. It's kinda strange that A Feast For Crows is actually done... I don't believe it. Actually, I do. I seemed to be the only person alive with patience enough not to flip out.

I just bought, used, these books: Lyonesse by Jack Vance, Lens of the World by R.A. MacAvoy, and Windhaven by GRRM and Lisa Tuttle. Should be fun. Always wanted to read some Vance since GRRM loves him so much.

From the library I just got: (Star Wars) Shadows of the Empire by Steve Perry, To Reign in Hell and The Book of Jhereg by Steven Brust, Dhampir by the Hendees, The Etched City by K.J. Bishop, and - accidently - The Year's Best Fantasy and Horror 14 (I wanted the one with Carlton Mellick III, Graham Joyce, Neil Gaiman, etc. - #16.)

Dhampir starts out rather boring and the writing in general seems to be lacking. I don't see why anyone would write so mundanely, but tons of people seem to like it. Anyways, I got hooked on Shadows of the Empire on the amazon.com preview, so that'll prolly be the only book of the bunch I read!

Still reading The Once and Future King. Interesting, but not as good as I was hoping - although one good thing that has come of it is that I'm now going to try and find a copy of Malory's Le Morte D'Arthur, the book White based tOaFK on.

Tried some other books in spring by Guy Gavriel Kay (The Fionavar Tapestry trilogy namely) but they seemed a bit childish…
I have my sights locked on Storm of Swords, but I am letting my credit card cool off for the moment… (I recently bought NoK for my self and the entire malazan series as a gift to a friend… yes I am trying to proselytize more people Posted Image )

Never have read Eddings, never will read Eddings. The Scar is my current read. I've also ordered from amazon The Etched City, The Year of Our War, The Book of the New Sun, and The Healthy Dead.

I loved that book, but now i have to wait for Ironcrown Moon to come out.
