Indeed. I had tried to avoid ordering it, but it may have to be that. I've gotta go into Waterstones anyways (to get the SWORD OF DESTINY English release as it's not out in Canada till December, so I may as well grab it in Blighty) so I figure I'll just add it to the buy list.

Where are you going to be? If you're in London, and you're anywhere near Piccadilly Circus, then if you're going to go into a Waterstones, it might as well be the really really big one.

Or jus' go Forbidden Planet. Geek nirvana and it has a much, much bigger SFF selection than even the big Waterstones, so more guarantee of having what you're after.

Just finished reading the Inheritance Omnibus by N.K. Jemisin and was thoroughly impressed. Not read any of her work before but she's got a new fan here :rolleyes:

I've now started reading The Red Wolf Conspiracy by Robert Redick, it's the first book of the Chathrand Voyage series and it's very good so far.

Finished The Human Division , Scalzi's return to the "Old Man's War" series.

Fun, light, solid read. nice characters, good pacing, a real page-turner.

Not sure what I'll read as my commute read now. Given I'm planning to grab GGKay's "River of Stars" this weekend, I think I'll do an "Under Heaven" re-read as my commute book.

At home, I've gone non-fiction, as I've started A Splendid Exchange: How Trade Shaped the world by William Bernstein.

I am reading Hyperion by Dan Simmons at the moment. Interesting stuff. Time debt, time travel, space travel, space Muslims, narration inside narration. Good sci-fi fluff. Besides, I've never seen any writer combine the words "steel" and "vagina". Tell me more, Mr. Simmons. Posted Image

Agreed. Lite-reading. I read the first two then got bored and moved on. Doubt I would pick up the rest of the series unless someone just handed me the book.

Got a biography of Jimmy Carter from the library. The most hated ex-president in US history, pundits love to work a dig at him into an editorial every chance they get, even 30+ years after he left office. I just feel the need to read more about him.
