Finished Step Across This Line, which wasnt very good. Rushdie should stick to writing fiction.

Might read Black Dogs by Iain McEwan next.

Enjoyed it, but was underwhelmed - probably because of the quality of the other works i've been reading lately.

Started The Once and Future King - an older one, for once.

You missed out, Duiker!! j/k
Still reading The Ninja, by Eric Lustbader, but I am mixing it with the "Tabloid Bible" written by Nick Page. It is a very funny version of the bible, written as if there was a Tabloid newspaper reporting on all the incidents which occur in the bible.
A Haunting Poem

You Scream
We all Scream

Now reading number9dream by the seminal David Mitchell.

And want to add: I NEVER had a Eddings phase.

True.

But you also got to remember that tactics and strategy in medieval times werent as developed as they coulda been.

For instance if you read paul kearney, his strategy/tactics might not be accurate compared to medieval warfare but they are definitely realistic.

Though, in general i do agree that battles in fantasy arent done as well as they could be. I'm just saying that just because they arent exactly like medieval battles doesnt necessarily mean that they are unrealistic.

On Saturday I stayed in bed all day, drank copious amounts of tea and read Legend by David Gemmell for about the 10th time in my life. So trashy, but I love it.

I agree with Sormo, many of us had an Eddings phase, I used to enjoy his books as a teenager and have no problems with others who still enjoy them. Don't let the turkeysPosted Image scare you off, Ma'kea!

Fair enough, I'll admit the story wasnt one of the best i've read by far but the world he created and the characters the prose the cultures, almost everything was just great.
