First post. I just had to share :p

I'm reading Ghost Story, followed by ADWD.

You sonuvabitch, how do you have Ghost Story this early?

Amazon Germany dispatched it yesterday and it arrived this morning. :D

I've only read like 7 chapters so far. :p

Rounding page 400 of ADWD and thoroughly enjoying it. Things are really picking up and firing off now cylinder-wise.

Do yourself a favour and stay the hell away from spoilers for this book (up to and including chapter name titles), go in clean and the read is that much more awesome.

Going to start surface detail tonight.
The Crippled God was the shizzle, I think a whole series re-read is on the cards after Xmas.

Finished "The Lees of Laughter's End" last night, and it was great.
"Here is light. You will say that it is not a living entity, but you miss the point that it is more, not less. Without occupying space, it fills the universe. It nourishes everything, yet itself feeds upon destruction. We claim to control it, but does it not perhaps cultivate us as a source of food? May it not be that all wood grows so that it can be set ablaze, and that men and women are born to kindle fires?"

I finished ADWD this aft, and I'm chasing it with a book I've heard a lot of buzz about. HOUNDED by Kevin Hearne, and so far a few pages in it already doesn't disappoint! Urban fantasy starring an ageless 2,100 year old Druid...trust me, it's very cool.

A quote from the first page:

"There are many perks to living for twenty-one centuries, and foremost among them is bearing witness to the rare birth of genius. It invariably goes like this: someone shrugs off the weight of his cultural traditions, ignores the baleful stares of authority, and does something his countrymen think to be completely batshit insane. Of those, Galileo was my personal favorite. Van Gogh comes in second, but he really was batshit insane."

I need to start surface detail, but just I just can't seem to.
It's been 3 days since finishing TCG, and I've managed to put it off.
This morning I was skimming GotM, before that DG. Sooooo tempted to read them again!!!!
I'm sure it's just a mental block, I'm having trouble letting go of TMBoTF!!
Maybe I should post my thanks to SE as an attempt at closure!!

Will google 'hounded' now.......

Okay, this has got me interested ... but it's not published in the UK until October (according to the Orbit UK website)

Still reading ADwD - just over halfway through it.
