I finally got my hands on a copy of Pinto's "The Standing Dead" and am reading that. I can't believe, even with a gay main character, why more people aren't into this guy...
OK, I think I got it, but just in case, can you say the whole thing over again? I wasn't really listening.

Reading the very last book in the Dark Tower - taking my time as don't know if I want to get to the end.

How will life be without Roland, Eddie, Susannah, Jake & Oy.

Maybe I can find a door to take me back to the beginning

Into Martin's "Clash of Kings" at the moment.
I have to agree that he's a great writer but I still prefer SE.

Done with "a portrait of Dorian Gery", great book, Lord Henry is a wonderful character, as is Dorian. If you ever suffer from some kind of meotional pain, read this book, I guarantee it will help. Turning pain into contempt Posted Image

Anyways, moving on to Stalingrad by Anthony Beevor (think thats how it's spelled)

Haven't read Orcs mysefl, but I've heard some good reviews. Though I know that doesn't mean much - I've heard good reviews of Crossroads of TwilightPosted Image

Now finished Iron Council, some bits were much better than the previous bits, but I'm not sure I enjoyed it as much as either. Better ending mindPosted Image

Shadowmarch is out?Posted Image I really don't have enough moneyPosted ImagePosted Image

I passed a couple copies of Song of Susannah in the garbage bin today, not to mention a copy of the seventh, yet to be release Dark Tower, one as well. Didn't bother picking them up as I'm not yet there in the series *big yawn* Posted Image

Finished The Year of Our War. It was absolutely amazing

Now reading Code Cicada, a contemporary novel by Warren Reed about the Australian intelligence world. A fictional extrapolation of the possible events behind the news report in 1995 or 1996 of Australia and the US bugging the Chinese Embassy in Canberra. Although it is typical of such books in that it is difficult to ascertain just how much of it might be actual fiction, seeing as Reed was an intelligence officer himself.

His writing style is sometimes unclear, but he doesn't hold back at all on the realism. This story is totally unvarnished. Sometimes brutal

@Bryn
Yeah, two. Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency and The Long Dark Teatime of the Soul. Both are great, but then, what else would you expect from DNA?

How far did you get in the Gunslinger?
Although I liked the first many people say that the books get better from The Drawing of the Three onwards.
