Sounds good. Are they any longer then the first three? I have those in omnibus form. If i read the mindividually it would really annoy me I think, how short they are.

Seem shorter but so far same great pace and storytelling.

Croaker has already made me laugh out loud several times and i'm like 20 pages in. Goblin and One Eye may be two of the greatest characters of all time.

I think with an exception of The silver Spike the rest of the book do not get shoter but a bit longer instead(no too much). I have all of them as stand alone paperbacks. I will check them when I get home.

THe only reason I wish there was a nice map for these books is just how far the guys are traveling. I'm not asking for a map of SE proportions or depth...but just something so you can keep track of the action.

There's a fan map that suits this purpose...though it is a tad on the amateur side

Yup. Agree. Missing map is an issue. I downloaded fan map, printed it out and always had it with me when I was reading.

It's ok so far. There is a sort of alternative history feel to it and it seems to be written for an adult audience. And our antagonist is the cool and collected kinda hero. But I thought you werent scared off by a bit of eroticism?

Oh, I'm definitely not. I just got a bad vibe from that opening, It just seemed badly written and strange.

You just sold me on it though, Eroticism is a must for me ...

@RLY. I've yet to finish the Abercrombie series....i'm done with book two but have yet to order book 3 (I'm a slack ass). I love Cook and Abercrombie equally...for different and similar reasons.

I gave The Last Argument of Kings a rest because I think I over saturated myself with the first two books being read in succession.

And I picked up "The Name of the Wind", By Patrick Rothfuss. And seriously, What the fuck? I've been hearing people in real life and on the internet saying how good this book is. How its a "Breath of fresh air" and so on and so forth. I barely made it through the first chapter before I threw it in the trash.

I just started MOI as part of my obligatory SE reread before TtH comes out. I don't think I'll finish, but am having fun trying.
