I finished the Tawny Man trilogy this morning around 1am. I'm letting it sink in a bit but I'll post thoughts in the ded-thread either today or tomorrow.

Next up I've decided (due to Macros' fervour about the author) to start Legend by Gemmell.

Started reading Necessary Evil by Tregillis. That prologue is so utterly chilling
I don't remember who recommended Milkweed - it was probably QT or Polish, but it is awesome!

I could be wrong but it's LIKELY both of us who recommended it...which means it has the PG/QT Double Stamp of Approval...which is the highest honour we offer since we disagree about the quality of about 80% of the stuff we read...so if we both like it...it's truly GREAT! Hope you enjoy the rest of the series.

Once you've caught your breath from that one, read the Troy series!

Tried to get my son off his phone(WiFi only) to go to BAM and GameStop yesterday so I could look at those books or WH40K but he wasn't budging.

One day

Don't forget to look for the Liveship Traders books while you're there.

Finished up JHEREG. Still a great read.

Now I'm back into Bradley P. Beaulieu's Lays of Anuskaya with THE STRAITS OF GALAHESH. Nice to be back with Nikandr and company!

Finished The Prophecy Con, now a few chapters into The Paladin Caper.

Highly recommended series. Nothing really groundbreaking, but great fun I'm only reading in smaller bite sizes because I'm usually quite wrecked at the end of the work day.

Well 3rd time was the charm. Finished up RotCG just a few minutes past midnight today. It was great. Total read time 155 days.

Glad you managed it. ICE isn't quite the writer SE is but he's got some great stories, well worth sticking with...

Started The Tower of Living and Dying, the second book of Anna Smith Spark's Empires of Dust trilogy. I really liked the first one's slow slide off the cliffs of sanity, and this one starts where that left off. It's certainly not a series for everyone- the writing style is quite strange, and if you like to have someone you can root for in your books you might find that a struggle- but I think it's excellent and not like anything else I've read.
I can't carry it for you, but I can carry you.

TTH is the best and gets better every time I read it. There's some sloggy bits but it is so worth it.

Toll the Hounds was a boring book and you should feel bored for having read it. Except the last 100 pages. They were dope.

Ok, so the Felix Castor audiobooks are really bad. The narrator is an American trying to do a British accent while also trying to talk like a hardboiled noir detective. Utter trainwreck.

I just finished the Martian. I had no idea that jargon could be so entertaining. This is a book written by engineers as great PR for engineers.
