What is kruppe!!

There have been lots of people in the books saying he is vastly intelligent and krul found him but when itokivin (lol bad spelling) he sees krul looking at kruppe like a really old friendship existed between them.

Plus he can defy QB's probing and the whole thing with his dreams!.

there are probably loads of threads on this but as kruppe is either most peoples favorite character or most hated, i suggested this thread again :)

Is there any other elder gods that are unaccounted for in the timeline, if bigg can be mael then kruppe can be something similar quite easily

Someone mentioned a theory to me once that the malazan world excisted in Kruppe's head in the same way the Imass haven excist inside the Mhybe.

Though I spose that's as crazy a theory as you get

Kruppe is mortal of that I am sure he is strange and different but I still believe that he is the mortal answer to the crippled god as it has been said that only a mortal hand can kill a god and I think that it will be kruppe's mind that is the final blow.

Mael could be taking another human form to again take on the CG, he was Bugg in Lether, now hes Kruppe in Daru(cant remeber the rest of the spelling).

I think he's just a regular human. Albeit a very intelligent and talented one. We already have seen a few of those, Quick Ben, Iskaral Pust. They all have plans yet to unfold and haven't yet revealed the true extent and purpose of their abilities and plans.

Kruppe just seems to be a little more extreme because of his patronage of K'rul, an elder God. Imho. I think the old friend thing was just a way of saying Kruppe was the only person K'rul has really "embraced"/gotten to know, since his return to the mortal world. And Kruppe seems to be overly helpful in furthering K'ruls idea's/plans. Probably because they coincide nicely with his own and who wouldn't want the help of an Elder God. . .

Or maybe Kruppe is Kilmandaros. >.<

I doubt it. Remember that Kruppe excisted as a character in Darjhustan (never could spell that name) while Mael still posed as Bugg

Acording to Patch Kruppe is the most 'immortal' what ever it may mean.

HA! Kruppe a god. And me thinking ive seen it all haha. Now to think about it he can't be an elder god. Elder gods obviously use Elder magic so when lorn attacked their group with the otaral sword he should of been able to kick her butt.

I agree with BAD hes the only he knows truley apart from nightchill i suppose.

but whenevre in danger like when lorn attacked kruppe goes unconscious
whats with that, if to go into his dream world, then why does he do that

Maybe he doesnt want to directly interfere with humand affairs through strenght of force rather than strenght of mind.

He is very like an elder god, very similar to bugg. Likes being with humans but only acting when absolutley neccessary like stepping in front of brood with the hammer

well actually, he was the reason Brood used his hammer in the first place. So i'd claim to be fairly heavy interfering on his part

'most' immortal is what i said (i think)...all immortal means is that you don't die of natural causes...i was placing kruppe on a scale, is all...not that i know anything definitive, i'm just here to mix 'n stir...

I thought Kruppe was Lady Simtal in disguise! :)

Kruppe cannot be an elder god - because elder gods can sense each others' presence, and neither nightchill nor krul gave any indication of this...

i think kruppe is just a very intelligent individoul. no god, no ascendant, just a man. krul even calls kruppe a mortal.

i always imagine kruppes warren to be mockra, and if thats the case, its possible he is so skilled that he has been able to shield his mind (his dreams) from outside influences, making it safe for krul, and everyone.

I agree with Trotts. Besides, SE himself said "Kruppe must remain a mistery... even to myself", which means HE hasn't decided what to make of the character.

I think I can remember Erikson saying in one of his Q&A that even Kruppe was a mystery to him as well..
