Targaryen - I hate damn rebels, and the whole series apparently revolbes around them. Rhaegar Targaryen is the dopest thacrater to never live in a series, Aerys roasted people for fun, and when we find out whre the hell Aegon is, he is going to show these pissant upstarts a thing or two I'm sure.

After reading A Feast for Crows, however Martell is moving up. Loyalists to Targaryen's , and Sandsnakes, is what I'm tlakign about. Easily the best parts of the book were the Few Dorne POV's in my mind.

But right now I have to go with the Lions -

Jamie's development in A Feast for Crows is sustantial ,and the fact I think Tyrion is the single greatest character achievement in epic fantasy history, to go along with the man who orchestrated the Red Wedding (Tywin) and this is the easy winner for me.

Definately the greyjoys for me. I have always loved the Vikings and the drowned god is so cool. The best parts of a Feast for crows were their povs. I want to know more about them.

The Martell. The chapters in Dorne in aFfC were really good. I wonder what Doran is up to... And of course Oberyn was so cool, it's too bad he's gone.

The Lannisters - the most manipulative, politically skilled house there is, not to mention one of the most varied and interesting. Who else was able to secure the throne for themselves so easily and manage to beat one of the strongest houses (Starks) with seemingly so little effort?

Jaime and Tyrion alone make it worth my vote though.

And remarkably fertile. :) That's my choice too...
OK, I think I got it, but just in case, can you say the whole thing over again? I wasn't really listening.

I think Tyrell seems pretty awesome, but we don't get to see them all that much. I mean, Mace is a fat idiot. Marg is a hottie. QoT is a wackjob. Left and Right are so damn big. Loras is a badass baby. Willas is a Bran wannabe. There's so in to flowers its funny.

But I gotta give it to the Lannisters. I love the twin sex. I love the obnoxious bastards. I love the imp. And I love their whores. HEAR ME ROAR!!!

The Starks. I just like them more, Ned Stark may have been my favorite character in the whole series. I'm surprised I'm the only one that's said them so far on this thread, too.

Targaryens.

Because they weren't limited to stereotypes to define their house, unlike the rest of them on the list. Except maybe Martell, but that's mostly because of Doran (a righteous dude).

I mean, from Aegon through to Rhaegar, they were individuals. I tend to lump the rest in a "job lot" like:
Starks - doomed noble idiots.
Freys - disgusting treacherous swine.
Lannisters - amoral in the extreme, Jaime has potential, Tyrion is semi-cool. I kept seeing Tywin as some sort of Darth Sidious. Cersei is a stupid spoiled whore.
Greyjoys - living in the past. Get over it.
Tyrell - flower children. I'd like to see one who revelled in cutting down whole swathes of old forests.
Tully - make up the numbers, except for the Blackfish (another righteous dude).

At least GRRM succeeded in making me feel something about them, so I salute that part of the writers' craft.

Cheers,

La Sombra, would enjoy butchering Freys for laughs

Stark - Much to noble, though I like Arya and Jon.

Lannister - The Imp, Jaime, Tywin and Genna (Tywin's sister, married to a frey) are all totally awesome. And Cersei's chapters are fun to read, even if it's just because she manages to screw everything up royally :). By the way, Jaime's chapters were absolutely my favorite ones in Feast.

Martel (Dorne) - The sand snakes were cool, and Oberyn was one awesome dude. And Dorans plotting were nice to read.

Tyrell - Never really liked them. Especially the Queen of Thorns is just bothersome.

Tully - I don't like them. None of them.

Targaryen - Dany gets on my nerves, but like everyone else, I like Rhaegar (it's weird that we like him, he was dead before the series even began you know :D ).

So my favorite house is the Lannisters :)

Baelish. Because Littlefinger totally rocks. :)

Apart from that probably the Lannisters. Martell are cool too.

The Starks are firmly on the bottom, all of them being so stupid and naive.

My instinct was to go for the Starks because of Jon, Bran, and Arya will all win in the end (I think) but I voted Lannister because of Tyrion. The guy rules.

House Martell. A pretty interesting bunch who after being in the background for three books look like they're becoming major players.

Expect to see more of them (well, one of them) in A Dance with Dragons... :D

Close call between the awesome Starks and the Targaryens. Incredible Houses that respresent Ice and Fire like nothing else, have the most impressive history, the best characters of history and the best characters now. With the exception of Tyrion ( and even that is debatable according to some), all the main characters with regard to the final war against the Others are Starks or Targaryens ( Jon as half Stark/Half Targ, Daenerys, Bran, Arya).
