Anyone got Google Earth? I haven't downloaded it yet but my housemate has, and it rocks! I keep meaning to do it, I just haven't got round to it yet...

Yeah google earth is truly sweet!! They are constantly upgrading the maps and adding more detail. I told my dad that it was real time! It would be cool if it where true though :)

What would be cool is if you could zoom in on your house, stand outside and wave at the sky. Then you could look at yourself on google earth :)

Well I can't. But looking at tourists at the Statue of Liberty and tanks in Ejypt is fun.

GoogleEarth rocks. Over on Westeros.org I've been transferring people from the frappr map they've got onto a GoogleEarth map but it's taken ages and a lot of slamming heads into the keyboard, so I'll decline to volunteer to do it for this board.

GoogleEarth is much more powerful than frappr map though, as it's constantly upgraded and more dynamic to use. On the other hand, you can't see the whole world at a glance (as it's a globe).

I thought this would be useful so that people who are going on holiday and they can organise to meet fellow members of this forum.

The aim of this is to get everyone on this forum onto the map if possible

any comments would be useful, like any improvements etc?

cheers gordy

Meh. The only claim to fame I can have is that I come from the most amazing city in the freaking world. York, Yorkshire, UK. :D

gonna assume a fairly well seated astride the fence position on this one. leeds is good 4 gettin drunk in the evening, whereas york is good 4 gettin drunk during the day. pity a can't think up a better way to put it without relating it to booze, sorry!

however, yorkshire IS the actual centre of the universe. :D
