Or they just felt no need for cities to live in, but wanted a nice place to hang out and chat once in a while. Y'know, "Hi Calm, you're looking particularly grey and flexible today ARGH! My VERTEBRAE!!!".

- Abyss, thinks that would make a great setting for a sitcom... 'Three's a Massacre' or 'Everybody Loves Serenity Except All Those People He Killed'.

I wonder why they never came into huge armies and just killed everyone... they could have you know... well except for the dragons of course, but surely if all of them teamed up against the dragons, they might have a chance...

yes, i think if they completely wiped every other race off the face of the planet, which seems to be within their powers, than some sort of balance would have been upset. i get the impression that they only intervened when another race upset the balance, their 'judgement' as it were

As far as I've understood it, the Dragons won, not because they were stronger as such, but because they could fly, while the FA could not.

im not too sure of that i mean if the FA lived in huge UNDERGROUND cities then being able to fly isn't going to be much of an advantage.

Have we ever incountered a true dragon in battle before? WHat kind of fighting style do they have?

Exactly.. You can have all the soldiers in the world, yet that wont help you if your enemy just bombs you with napalm from a place you can't reach :) .. And the underground caverns were describes as huge, so I have no difficulty imagining dragons flying in there (remember that they were just empty caverns, not cities as such).

We've encountered one true dragon in a fight as of yet, and that is Silvanah when she fights Raest in GotM. Basically she does as Tiste so eloquantly put it, fly above the enemy and launch SD on him.

Do you know if SD comes out as flames? As in, pretty much any dragon legend we know has dragons breathing fire... So is this an effect of SD?

Not flames as such, or at least the attack Rake use in MoI aint described as flames I think.. Just raw SD... I dunno, flames would be too cliché for SE I think

Wasn't it pure, raw Kg that Rake had? I seem to remember someone (perhaps Paran) noting that one place that is a gateway to pure KG was inside Dragnipur. The other was "the gaping maw of Rakes soletaken form" or something along those lines... so how does KG differ from SD in that respect? Or is rake a multi-purpose dragon?

i imagine that SE prefers the dragons to spew magic from their jaws, rather than fire, although i would bet that the dragon aspected to Telas is likely to throughout fire.

So to answer, Silannah threw out SD, so i think it depends on the aspect, or the dragon will use SD

Yeah but the uber-hard dragons like Rake probably can use both KG (aspected one) and SD (like all dragons) Just wondering - there aren't any human draconic soletaken that we know of are there? Just wondering, cos then they might be pure SD as opposed to SD plus aspected magic...

I think to be a dragon is to have an aspect. I don't think they can be humanan and soletaken without possessing magic.

Krul's an elder god who is soletaken. Not a dragon, imnsho.

There was a whole blood element thing to his worship, not related to SD at all i think.

And I suspect only soletaken with the apropriate connections can diversify. Dragons are aspected to SD. The otataral dragon is an exception.

- Abyss, enjoys a good blood worship party as much as anyone.

I'm sure K'ruls heart is made of SD or something... no doubt Vaiski or Folken will come and give the proper quotation in a second...
